Miss Queen receives $500 Scholarship & paid entry to LAFF Queen of Queens Pageant.
Sell Sponsor Tickets for Special Awards!
Any contestant selling at least $100 in tickets will be crowned Sweetheart Prince or Princess.
The two contestants in the entire pageant selling the most sponsor tickets will be crowned
Sweetheart King/Queen. Sweetheart Princes and Princesses will receive a crown, monogrammed
banner and festival t-shirt. Sweetheart Kings or Queens will receive festival crown, monogrammed
banner, trophy, gift and festival t-shirt. Sponsor tickets are $1 each. All proceeds go to the festival.

Rules & General Information
Sunday best for ages 0-10 years. (NO PAGEANT DRESSES OR TUXES) Light makeup only! Hair/makeup
should compliment, not distract. Dresses above the knees wear socks. Dresses below the knees wear tights.
Ages 11 & up, wear floor length formal or pageant wear. Dresses should be age appropriate. Makeup/Hair is
acceptable, but should not distract. Please contact the director if you have any questions.
Photogenic pictures for all contestants can be turned in day of pageant. Black & white or color is acceptable.
No pictures larger than an 8X10. No frames please. Please have name on back of photo.
Teen & Miss Divisions will compete in interview. Teens can wear a pant suit, skirt suit or Sunday Best. Teen
contestants will be asked questions about the Meat Pie Festival & information on their bios. Miss Contestants
need to wear a business suit with matching or taupe heels. She will be asked questions on her bio, Meat Pie
Festival, & on the City of Natchitoches. Arrive by 2:30 with your photogenic picture.
Teen, Miss, Ms. & Mrs.& Woman Divisions will compete in on stage introduction. Teen & Miss contestants will
wear Animal print “wild” casual attire. Introductions need to include contestant’s name, contestant number,
general information about you & extend an invitation to the festival. Introductions will be at the beginning of the
evening in order to give the contestants time to prepare for evening gown competition. You will be scored on
personality, introduction (content & clarity) & posture/poise. Your attire is not scored. ALL TEEN, MISS, MS.
MRS. & WOMAN CONTESTANTS WILL FILL OUT INTERVIEW BIO SHEET FOR EMCEE TO READ.
All contestants must reside in the State of LA. Miss Queen contestants must be at least 17 & no older than 23
years of age as of Jan. 1, 2009. The Teen & Miss Queen will be required to travel to at least 12 events in &
out of the parish representing their titles. Teen & Miss Queens are not allowed to hold any other festival titles
during their reign without consent given by the Pageant Director. They will have custom festival crowns &
crown boxes to use during their reign. Both will be turned back in at the end of their reign. They will be
responsible for damage or theft of the items. Teen & Miss Contestants should be single, never been married &
never have had a child. Ms.. Mrs. & Woman Queens will be given a custom crown & are required to attend at
least 5 events representing their titles. Travel Expenses for the Teen, Miss, Ms.,, Mrs. & Woman Queens can
be reimbursed with receipts up to a limit for approved festivals/pageants.
All Kings, Queens, & Sweetheart Royalty need to attend the Meat Pie Festival on September 12th to ride in the
parade & be announced at the festival. The festival is Sept. 11th & 12th. You may attend and be announced
both days, but only required to come on Saturday, Sept. 13th. Contact the director if this is a problem.
Admission to watch the pageant will be $5.00 for adults and $2 for students. Make your check/money order
