The Kansas City Renaissance Festival invites
photographers to submit performance day images
from the Festival. Now photographers have a chance
to score great prizes, including a chance to have
their image posted on the Kansas City Renaissance
Festival webpage and be published in the new
festival calendar. The contest challenge is to capture
the colorful celebratory quality of the participants,
patrons and even the pets.

The Bay Area Renaissance Festival at MOSI welcomes more than 80,000 people from the 7-county region each season and
over 1 million people to our website – allowing you to reach an audience that you might otherwise miss! We anticipate over
RULES & REGULATIONS
10,000 visitors for this weekend, giving you a great deal of exposure to your target market.
For the Sunday Open Competition, all bows must meets the following qualifications:
· Longbows and recurve bows of any construction are permitted. No other compound, foot bows or crossbows will be permitted.
Genesis compound bows are only permitted in the (>21lb.) category. Bow draw weight may not exceed 60lbs. Draw weight will be
tested on all bows prior to competition.
· Bowstring may be made of traditional or modern materials. Bows string must be released with the fingers (gloves, finger tabs and
thumb rings are allowed). No mechanical releases – including back tension releases – are permitted
· Bows may have a single stabilizer of up to 36 inches so long. No side rods or Hoyt Stealth shock absorbers will be permitted.
· Sights may have an aiming pin, reticle or sighting barrel. Hunting sights are permitted but only with a single aiming pin. Sights
must not incorporate a prism, lens, or any other magnifying, levelling or range finding devices. The sight point may be a fiber optic
sight pin. Field glasses, telescopes and other visual aids may be used for spotting arrows but use of such devices will cut into the
shooter’s time
· Bow may have a single aiming, anchor point or draw length aid (ie: no clicker or kisser button.)
· A single mark or other indicator on the string for the nocking point is acceptable. Multiple markers will not be permitted.
· Risers including a brace are permitted provided the brace does not consistently touch the athlete’s hand or wrist.

· Forms are due no later than March 7, 2014.
· Forms recieved after March 7, 2014 are subject to $100 late fee
· Fees non-refundable after March 7, 2014.
· This is a rain or shine event.
POINTS of INTEREST
· Festival hours: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
· Pop-up tent required.
· Hand out promotional materials, sell your
product, or conduct valuable surveys that
reach your target market.
· Tables and chairs are responsibility of
exhibitor.
· General liability insurance is required.
· Decorations, including table skirt or cloth,
need to be provided by exhibitor.
· Renaissance costumes are strongly en
couraged, but not required.
· A discount coupon will made available for
family, friends, and club members.
· Exhibits are required to be set up no
later than 9:00 a.m. on both Saturday and
Sunday. We would prefer if you would set
up on Friday between 12pm and 4pm.
Arrows:
· Arrows may be made of wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber or aluminum “Fat Boy” arrows will not be permitted.

Forms
Archers will shoot on a FITA standard 80cm target. In FITA archery, targets are colored as follows:
• 1 ring & 2 ring - white
• 3 ring & 4 ring – black
• 5 ring & 6 ring – blue
• 7 ring & 8 ring – red
• 9 ring, 10 ring & inner 10 ring - gold
The inner ring is usually used for tie-breaking( closer to the X is the winner)
An arrow just touching a scoring boundary line will be awarded the higher score. During and before scoring no one is allowed to
touch the arrows. This is so that if there is disputed arrow score then the Field Captain may be called to make a ruling on how the
arrow
lies. Once
the1scoring judges have tallied the scores, the archer may pull his/her arrows. The scoring judge will mark all arrow
