Thanks to its digital success in Latin America, TV5 launches its fifth channel in digital format for Asia: TV5 Asie. The

To complete its worldwide distribution, TV5 adds two new channels; one for the USA: TV5 USA, and one for the
Middle East: TV5 Orient.
1999
TV5 duplicates its European channel into two separate feeds, adding one for the French-speaking European
countries: TV5 FBS (France – Belgium – Switzerland).
2001
With eight different channels, and a global distribution network, Satellimages TV5 changes its name to TV5MONDE.
Opening of the Head Office for the US in Denver, relocated to Los Angeles in 2002.

TV5MONDE launches a new service for IP-based networks: TV5MONDE Plus.
