Day 4 ROTORUA With a unique thermal and volcanic landscape, living Maori culture, natural hot springs and bubbling mud pools, Rotorua is one of New Zealand’s best known and most popular destinations. This morning enjoy a half day city tour of Rotorua. Included in your sightseeing tour are visits to Te Puia and the New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Institute where you can view mighty geysers, boiling mud pools, and the traditional arts & culture of the Maori People; Rainbow Springs - a unique showcase of New Zealand's flora and fauna including New Zealand's national icon, a kiwi bird; and the Agrodome Sheep Show – an entertaining and animated insight into New Zealand's farming history. This afternoon depart Rotorua touring through the rich farmland of the Waikato region back into Auckland. Day 5 DEPART AUCKLAND Haere ra - farewell from New Zealand. Today transfer from your hotel to Auckland International Airport for your flight home. Day 1 ARRIVE AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND Haere mai - welcome to New Zealand! After being met at Auckland International Airport, transfer to your accommodation, Remainder of day at leisure to explore New Zealand’s largest and most cosmopolitan city set around Auckland Harbour. Day 2 AUCKLAND With a warm sunny climate and the rhythm of the South Pacific, Auckland’s beautiful natural environment means it is a superb holiday destination with outstanding outdoor adventures, art and culture experiences to sophisticated cuisine, wine and shopping. New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland is a melting pot of cultures, with large Polynesian and Asian populations. This morning enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Auckland – the ‘City of Sails’. Your tour explores the lively Viaduct Basin then travels along Tamaki Drive, which runs east past peaceful sheltered bays to Auckland's most expensive real estate. Enjoy the panoramic city and harbour views from Bastion Point, home to the Sir Michael Savage Memorial and visit the Auckland Domain. Afternoon at leisure. Day 3 AUCKLAND / WAITOMO / ROTORUA Today travel south from Auckland to Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour through the long galleries and lofty chambers of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. A highlight will be the boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny lights from the glow worms suspended from the cave ceiling. From Waitomo continue to the thermal wonderland of Rotorua. Set on the shores of Lake Rotorua, this popular tourist town has the most energetic thermal activity in the country with bubbling mud pools, gushing geysers, beautiful coloured hot springs and terrace formations created by mineral water. Rotorua also has a large Maori population whose cultural activities world-renowned. The region is also renowned for Maori cultural activities, adrenalin charged pursuits and a variety of family friendly attractions.
