Who IS Love INC?
We bring Christ-followers together to walk alongside and serve those in need in our community.
The Need
The need in Lake County is as diverse as the
population—from unemployment and housing
instability to lack of personal relationships.
Love INC’s role is to help identify these complex
issues and coordinate loving support throughout
the community.
Our network of church volunteers brings together
multiple resources to serve in a more efficient way
than one person or one church could do alone.
More than that, when local churches meet a need,
they are living Christ’s command to “love your
neighbor as yourself.”
The Defining Difference:
How We Work Together
1.A Help Center volunteer answers the phone
call from someone in need and talks with them
to learn more about their situation.
We verify the need through a church, a
case worker, an employer, or whoever best
understands the issue.
2.We utilize our community network to determine
which social services apply and what church
resources are available.
Sometimes a Lake County social agency meets
the need. Many times we are privileged to refer
the caller to a Love INC ministry at one of our
partner churches.
3.We reach out to our partner churches for
servants who will extend help and Love in
the Name of Christ.
That is the defining difference of Love INC—
serving our neighbor in love, following
Christ’s example.
Our MINISTRIES—SERVE with Us!
Hope Builders
Volunteers provide household repairs
and yard work for those unable to
complete them on their own. They may
take on small remodeling or building
projects. Their labor is combined with
homeowner-purchased materials to
transform an oppressing situation into
pride of ownership.
Our ministries help many people in need each
week and we depend on YOU to make it happen.
Without servants from our partner churches,
Love INC doesn’t exist!
Help Center/Clearing House
Volunteers answer the phones and are
the voice of Christ to the general public
and to those in need. Their kind words
help alleviate a desperate situation.
God uses the Help Center to graciously
bring resources together to connect
verified clients to the support they need.
Financial Counseling
Volunteers encourage people to learn
basic skills in budgeting, banking and
advocating for themselves.
Furniture Ministry
Volunteers donate a few hours each
week or month to transport furniture
to our verified clients in need. We
provide basic furniture, with a focus on
something to “Eat On, Sit On, and
Sleep On.”
Household Starter Kits
Volunteers organize and pack donated
household items into “Starter Kits” and
deliver them to verified clients moving
into their own homes. Kits include new
or gently used dishes, glasses, pots and
pans, basic kitchen utensils and bath &
kitchen towels.
Clothing Ministry
Volunteers are vital for organizing
donations and ministering to those in
need. Our clients use Love INC dollars
to “purchase” clothing at mobile “stores”
hosted in local churches.
Transportation Services
Our partner car repair shops provide
safety-related repairs to ensure reliable
transportation for a person to get to
work, school or appointments. Other
volunteers may provide rides to church,
a doctor’s appointment, grocery store or
other necessary destinations.
