HUBS
Before installing the wheel and hub, lubricate (with grease or Vaseline) the rubber seal on the inside of each hub. Rub some grease on the
the black painted surface closest to the kart and from which the rear axle protrudes. This will prevent a harmless but annoying humming
sound.
Your Gran Tour comes with four outside orange hubcaps with the BERG logo in the center and two inside orange hubcaps, install all
hubcaps before riding (do not use hammer to install).
If the driver side pedals are not engaging the drive wheel when pedaled forward: verify that the square drive
section of the axle is completely inserted into the square receptacle in the wheel’s hub. Pedal backwards, if
this engages the drive wheel but pedaling forward does not, un-screw the four little allen screws and remove
the wheel from the hub. Switch the rear wheel hubs (left hub to right side and right hub to left side). Verify
that the tire tread pattern points forward.
TIRE & TREAD DIRECTION
Tread pattern should point toward the front of the kart
Tires come partially inflated, fill to recommended psi before riding
Replacement parts including tubes are available through BERG USA
AXLE
Apply a light lubricant, such as oil to each
axle before sliding the wheels on, this will
help them slide on easily
Each drive axle has a square shaft that fits
into a square receptacle in the hub.
The wheel will not
slide onto the hub
unless the two
squares are lined up
perfectly. The wheel
rim is cast aluminum
and will break if hit with
a hammer.

FENDERS
If the front fenders rub the tires when they’re turned, switch the
fenders to the opposite side of the kart
Be sure to install four O-Rings on the seat post of each seat this will prevent the seat from rubbing on the fenders
