More?!?!
One of the opening
lines of Lionel
Bart’s Oliver is the young lad asking for more gruel. During a
recent conversation, I was asked why KRWG isn’t more active
in fundraising? My reaction was, “This is the first time in my
40+ years a member asked me that question?!?!”
The point was that we are always on the lookout for stations that have found
success doing things differently. That was why we promoted FM drives with, “It’s
Time To Give!”
KRWG welcomed Phil Wilke to the staff as the Membership and Community
Outreach Director. We are excited about this because he brings 14 years of service
at Kansas Public Radio. His experience will give KRWG a new perspective on
membership.
With cuts in other funding budgets, your participation is more important than ever.
Rest assured, our primary goal is to present the programs and information you
expect and deserve. Your consistent support of our Mission is appreciated. That is
why we say...”consider yourself part of the family” at KRWG!!!
Happy 4th!
Glen T. Cerny
Executive Director of University Broadcasting

UNDERWRITER APPRECIATION MONTH
July is Underwriter Appreciation Month and I, for one,
am well behind on thanking them. That’s because I just
moved here.
Hi, I’m Phil Wilke, KRWG’s new Director of
Membership and Community Outreach. I just finished
w w w. k r w g . o r g
my first month at KRWG and look forward to meeting
our members, viewers, listeners and underwriters across southern New Mexico and far
west Texas.
The underwriting messages you hear not only give you the information about our
partner’s products and services, but they also signal the business’ support for NPR
and PBS news, classical and jazz music you can’t get elsewhere, outstanding shows
like NOVA, Great Performances and Sesame Street, and local news, arts and culture
coverage that KRWG provides.
If you’re interested in learning about underwriting opportunities on KRWG FM or TV,
