Being strategically located at your back door, the BWCAW, Voyageurs National Park, and Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park offer you unspoiled wilderness with millions of acres and thousands of scenic shoreline miles to fish, hike, and explore. From Crane Lake you can travel over 120 miles by boat. Crane Lake has many natural fishing areas. On either side of Pine Point’s Peninsula, there are two separate rivers coming in. Walleyes, bass and crappies key on the forage that is abundant in these incoming waters. An underwater ridge is located just in front of the Resort. This makes for an excellent crappie fishing hole. In fact, try fishing from the docks at the Resort. Northerns, bass, walleyes or crappies are frequently caught just outside your cottage door. Find a favorite fishing hole, take in some scenic and historic sites, or you can portage a short distance to try a day of wilderness fishing on one of our remote hike-in lakes described. There is something for everyone! 2014 Pro Anglers An incredible sight, the Crane Lake Gorge mechanical portage that allows you to cross into Loon Lake. The walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass fishing are spectacular in these majestic waters. Fish either the American or Canadian side. The distance from the Lodge is approximately 20 miles. Don’t forget your camera for this trip!! On our wilderness lakes, we have a limited number of boats available for our guests. The low fishing pressure in these lakes keeps the fishing at world class level. Fish for trophy walleye, large and smallmouth bass, crappie, northern pike, lake trout, and a variety of panfish. Vermilion River – River fishing at its best! Our 14’ boat is nestled below the falls on the Vermilion River. This allows you to fish the area from the Vermilion Falls down to the Rapids above the Gorge at Crane Lake. Loon Lake The 300-yard portage is a very scenic wilderness trail. One of the most scenic trips to take. Voyage down the Loon River to a Note: Very little fishing pressure is on this area. Guide reservations should be made in advance. akes and rivers Vermilion Gorge Hike the Historic Gorge... track wildlife... listen to loons... watch eagles. One of the most picturesque areas of Crane Lake is the Vermilion Gorge. The trail can be picked up just around the point from the Lodge. There is a nice picnic area located at the mouth of the gorge. Let us know if you would like to use our shore lunch kit for an afternoon picnic. The 3 mile Vermilion Gorge Trail, at a leisurely pace, can be easily hiked in 3 hours. The last portion of the trail parallels the Gorge – a rugged landscape of sheer granite cliffs and rock outcrops. As you begin this portion of the trail, notice the change in vegetation. The ground is covered with a soft, green moss carpet sprinkled with spearmint plants to enhance the beauty of this majestic, scenic wonder. Visit the Vermilion Falls... marvel at the cascading waterfall... A 10-minute hike on a well-maintained trail going southwest puts you at the Vermilion Falls, a cascading torrent of water forced through a 10-foot-wide opening in the granite. The northeast section of the trail will lead you to “The Chute,” a constriction in the river that produces a Class III to V rapids. This is a pleasant 5-minute walk and worth the effort. Look for wild rice beds. The shoots begin to emerge in midJuly and seed heads won’t develop until the first part of August. Extensive wild rice beds flourish along the Vermilion River and are harvested by humans and wildlife alike from late August through October. A breathtaking adventure you must experience. There are picnic tables and fire grates at the site for a perfect afternoon adventure! Zip Line Rides! 2014 Pro Anglers Complimentary Kayaks! Of the park’s 218,000 acres over one-third are water. Thirty lakes of all sizes make up this enchanting chain of lakes. The larger lakes are dotted with pine covered rocky islands. The beauty is extraordinary. Your experience at Pine Point could include motorboating, fishing, canoeing, sightseeing, hiking along trails – looking for animal signs or blueberries in season. Voyageurs National Park stands preserved and protected by the National Park Service, giving you a view of the world as it appeared to the French and Canadian fur traders centuries ago. www.pinepointlodge.com5 218-993-2311 / 1-800-628-4446 Boat in Location 2015 Rates Pine Point Lodge & Resort *All rates are based on our Catch & Release Program Note: You may still keep fish while on the program, see program on page 7 Cottage and Premium Boat Packages rates are per person Daily 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day weekly 1 premium boat, 2 people $195 $375 $549 $705 $855 $955 $1049 1 premium boat, 3 people $129 $249 $369 $469 $569 $639 $700 1 premium boat, 4 people $99 $185 $275 $349 $429 $479 $525 2 premium boat, 4 people $139 $265 $395 $495 $599 $649 $695 2 premium boat, 5 people $119 $225 $335 $419 $509 $545 $585 2 premium boat, 6 people $109 $199 $295 $369 $445 $479 $509 3 premium boat, 6 people $135 $249 $375 $465 $559 $590 $625 Cottage and Deluxe XL Boat Packages rates are per person Daily 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day weekly 1 Deluxe XL, 2 people $185 $349 $519 $655 $795 $889 $989 1 Deluxe XL, 3 people $125 $235 $345 $439 $549 $595 $659 1 Deluxe XL, 4 people $89 $175 $259 $329 $399 $445 $495 2 Deluxe XL, 4 people $125 $245 $359 $449 $535 $585 $635 2 Deluxe XL, 5 people $109 $209 $305 $379 $455 $495 $535 2 Deluxe XL, 6 people $95 $185 $269 $335 $399 $435 $469 3 Deluxe XL, 6 people $119 $225 $335 $415 $495 $529 $565 Cottage and Deluxe Boat Packages rates are per person Daily 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day weekly 1 Deluxe, 2 people $169 $325 $479 $619 $755 $849 $949 1 Deluxe, 3 people $115 $219 $319 $415 $505 $569 $629 1 Deluxe, 4 people $85 $165 $239 $309 $379 $425 $475 2 Deluxe, 4 people $115 $219 $325 $409 $499 $545 $589 2 Deluxe, 5 people $99 $185 $275 $349 $425 $465 $499 2 Deluxe, 6 people $89 $165 $245 $309 $375 $409 $445 3 Deluxe, 6 people $105 $199 $299 $375 $455 $489 $525 Cottage and 25’ Pontoon Boat Packages rates are per person Daily 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day weekly 25’ Pontoon, 2 people $195 $375 $549 $705 $855 $955 $1049 25’ Pontoon, 3 people $129 $249 $369 $469 $569 $639 $700 25’ Pontoon, 4 people $99 $185 $275 $349 $429 $479 $525 25’ Pontoon, 5 people $85 $165 $239 $305 $369 $409 $449 25’ Pontoon, 6 people $79 $479 $215 $275 $329 $265 $399 Cottage and 20’ Pontoon Boat Packages rates are per person Daily 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day weekly 20’ Pontoon, 2 people $189 $359 $530 $685 $835 $929 $1025 20’ Pontoon, 3 people $125 $239 $355 $455 $559 $619 $685 20’ Pontoon, 4 people $95 $179 $265 $345 $419 $465 $515 20’ Pontoon, 5 people $85 $159 $229 $295 $360 $379 $399 20’ Pontoon, 6 people $75 $139 $209 $265 $325 $339 $355 Aspen: Located on our sandy beach, enjoy an undisturbed night of rest in either private bedroom.
