What happens next?
You decide.
From 2013, all young people will
have to stay in education or training
until the end of the academic year
in which they turn 17. From 2015, all
young people will stay in learning
until their 18th birthday.
There are lots of options available once you finish
secondary education, including full-time education
at college or sixth form, work-based learning, such
as an apprenticeship or part-time training, if you are
employed, self-employed or volunteer for more than
20 hours a week.
Staying in education or training means that you will
be more qualified, with better job prospects and
opportunity for higher earnings.
Find out more, including information on all the
options and the support available, at
www.hants.gov.uk/youthtube
youth work
in your
neighbourhood
We will be out and about working with
young people in their own territory to find
out about their needs. The work focuses
on building relationships and providing
support to young people in areas that
have the highest rates of deprivation or
anti-social behaviour.
The work is carried out by The Legacy
Partnership.
