Reference project – infrastructure / drainage Construction costs: Redevelopment of the drainage systems at a bus depot Around 1.2 million euros Client: Hamburger Hochbahn AG Period: 2005 to 2008 Project: Performance: Existing drainage systems at the Hamburger Hochbahn AG's bus depot required extensive repair work as they had become damaged, had started to leak and were not accessible for maintenance work. Many special structures were developed particularly for the workshop building with the aim of installing them in existing works, which would comply with current technical requirements while simultaneously keeping the intervention into existing works to a minimum. Here, maintenance sequences were optimised from a technical and economic point of view. New separating methods and lowemulsion conveyor and lifting systems were employed in this regard. The extensive planning, including specialist planning, was quickly coordinated with those involved as well as the responsible permit authorities and then implemented at site. The depot's continued operations needed to be taken into account during planning and execution. The engineering services included such preparatory services as surveying and assessments of existing works, planning, approval, invitation to tender bids and construction supervision at site for the execution of the works.
