Hello Courtyard Estates Family,
Please let me take this opportunity to introduce myself to you
as the new manager at Courtyard Estates in Bondurant. I am
very excited to be part of such a loving, caring and compassionate community. I look forward to getting to serve you and
your loved one.
A little about me, I come from a large loving family. I hail from
the small town of Glidden, Iowa. Where I attended high school
and also met my wife Kendall. I am a graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa as well as Mercy College of
Health Sciences here in Des Moines. Previously, I had been
working as the Community Manager at Courtyard Estates in
Pleasant Hill. I was then lucky enough to be given an opportunity to join you here at Courtyard Estates Bondurant. You
are always welcome to stop by the office for a chat. I look forward to getting the opportunity to meet with everyone, and I
look forward to growing with you, my new family as I pursue
my passion to provide the best place possible for your loved
one to live.

With football on the TV we all know that fall has crept up on us and winter will be
around the corner the seasons bring us into the soup time of year along with pumpkins & squash and all the other seasonings of fall. We look forward to those flavors
and sipping hot apple cider or hot chocolate. Any favorite fall time recipes you have
please drop by the kitchen and give us some ideas. We love to try new things and
taste new recipes.
Tim Jones
Maintenance Technician
My name is Tim Jones, I am the new Maintenance Technician at Courtyard
Estate Bondurant. I come from an extensive construction background as well as having some nursing background as well. My goal for this community is to bring
the building to its best quality and keep up with the routine maintenance that it needs. Some of my projects include changing over some small plumbing issues and setting up a
routine monthly walk through of every apartment to make sure there are no hidden issues.
I also plan on getting back on track with our monthly fire drills and training of existing and
new employees of our procedures for evacuation plans I will also be filling in as the driver/ I will be responsible for helping out with transportation of our residents to appointments and activities as needed. I am a very hard worker and will do my best to respond to
all maintenance issues and resident needs. So if you have any issues please do not hesitate to find me or feel free to fill out a work order located in the box outside of the maintenance office. I respond to work orders first priority. Thank you and I look forward to helping and doing what I can to make this a better place to live for everyone..

September was an eventful month. We started of with the traditional holiday of Labor Day and
the newer one of Grandparents Day. We celebrated this one with an open house of families of all
ages coming to visit. We had sun tea and lemon aide along with cookies.
There was 6 birthdays in September with one of them being Derrick’s and knowing that he was
leaving his good friend Elvis stop by for his birthday-going away party. We had real Rock-andRoll party along with home maid ice cream.
On our bus trips this month, we went to the library for BINGO and the Blank Park Zoo. We took
a ride on the train, fed some hungry goats, and talked to the monkeys. It was a beautiful day out
with lots of smiles and laughs.
Now ,our October weather is starting to change. The leaves also are changing and coming
down quickly. So I think it’s safe to say that “Fall” is here! Some of the activities that we are looking
forward to this month is a “COWBOY DINNER” ( with maybe a special gust singer ) a hayrack ride
to the pumpkin patch, the craft sale, and a Halloween ice cream

Meet the new Nurse :)
My name is Sue Yeakel and I have been a Nurse for 26 years. I have worked

new adventure as it has been this last month. The residents are awesome and the
families I have met have been great. Come and introduce yourself when you get a minute. (Just not all at once :) I have three cats at home and if I work too long one of
them meows at me when I get home. Some day the residents will get to meet Mr.
Golden :) I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you
