I also plan on getting back on track with our monthly fire drills and training of existing and new employees of our procedures for evacuation plans I will also be filling in as the driver/ I will be responsible for helping out with transportation of our residents to appointments and activities as needed. I am a very hard worker and will do my best to respond to all maintenance issues and resident needs. Courtyard Courier Page 3 Chris Wood Life Enrichment Coordinator September was an eventful month. We started of with the traditional holiday of Labor Day and the newer one of Grandparents Day. We celebrated this one with an open house of families of all ages coming to visit. We had sun tea and lemon aide along with cookies. There was 6 birthdays in September with one of them being Derrick’s and knowing that he was leaving his good friend Elvis stop by for his birthday-going away party. We had real Rock-andRoll party along with home maid ice cream. On our bus trips this month, we went to the library for BINGO and the Blank Park Zoo. We took a ride on the train, fed some hungry goats, and talked to the monkeys. It was a beautiful day out with lots of smiles and laughs. Now ,our October weather is starting to change. The leaves also are changing and coming down quickly. So I think it’s safe to say that “Fall” is here! Some of the activities that we are looking forward to this month is a “COWBOY DINNER” ( with maybe a special gust singer ) a hayrack ride to the pumpkin patch, the craft sale, and a Halloween ice cream ELVIS ZOO Courtyard Courier Page 4 Meet the new Nurse :) My name is Sue Yeakel and I have been a Nurse for 26 years.
