from the small town of Glidden, Iowa. Where I attended
high school and also met my wife Kendall. I am a graduate
of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa as well as
Mercy College of Health Sciences here in Des Moines. Previously, I had been working as a director for a senior living
community in Carroll, Iowa. I was then lucky enough to be
given an opportunity to join you here at Courtyard Estates.
I look forward to growing with you, my new family as I
pursue my passion to provide the best place possible for
your loved one to live.

Charlie’s Impossible Pie
4 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Margarine
1/2 Cup of all purpose flour
2 Cups of Milk
1 Cup Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Coconut
Blend a few seconds in a blender. Pour into 10” Pie Plate. Bake 1 hour @ 350 degrees until center is firm.
Serves 6-8

A note from Macey
Something New to Courtyard!
We are now offering free massages by a licensed massages therapist every other Monday. All
Residents will be offered a massage with every visit, but may refuse at anytime.
As the weather becomes nicer we will be adventuring out more. Some activities will require admissions I will notify all family members via the newsletters for upcoming events that
may require admission. This month we will be attending the Senior Olympics on June 15th to
watch the Granny Basketball games. We may also take some unannounced trips to support
our own Tina Davis as she will be participating in different events throughout the week. On
June 20th we are taking a trip to the Match Stick Marvel Museum in Gladbrook, IA. This trip
will take up most of our day. We will leave at 8:30am and not return till early afternoon.
I am always looking for new and exciting events and activities if you have any ideas of
new things you think our Residents would enjoy please feel free to tell us about them! I look
forward to seeing everyone at activities this month!
