Looking for…
a varied, practical study programme?
an enriching internship in the
Swiss school system?
a “little” big city at
the heart of Europe?
snow-capped mountains and
crystal clear lakes within easy reach?
Come to the PH Zurich!
“I believe that Zurich is a fantastic place to take part in an exchange
semester. ” Franziska S., Australia
Enjoy an exciting and practical range of courses at primary, secondary and preschool level:
Our interdisciplinary courses on topics such as “Insights into Life Worlds of Children and Youth”, “Observing – Evaluating – Encouraging” and “Acquiring Lear
ning Strategies and Accompanying Learning Processes” are taught in English and
complement courses on teaching methods in English as a Second Language.
We also offer our mobility students
— the module “Switzerland – Nature, Culture and Society” with excursions in
Zurich and throughout Switzerland and
— a course in German as a foreign language for beginners.
“I think that it has been an incredible opportunity for me to see
different school systems, different ways of teaching, focuses
and outcomes.” Trisha S., Kanada
In addition to your mobility studies, you can also do a teaching practice – to find
out about the Swiss education system and gain valuable teaching experience at
your target level.
“Zurich is a beautiful place to live in, with a lot of culture
surrounding you and easy access to many different places and activities.”
Claire B., England
This bustling small metropolis at the heart of Europe – situated on the Lake of
Zurich among green hills with the Swiss Alps close by – offers many opportunities for
cultural experiences, sports activities and excursions in the surrounding region.
“You have so many opportunities in Zurich! All the libraries, museums,
monuments…” Eva K., Czech Republic
