Ringger - Public Affairs Subject: SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE DISCUSSION OUTLINE BACKGROUND AND RECOMMENDATION In November of 2015, EVMWD Public Affairs Staff presented its Social Media Strategic Plan. The plan, implemented in December of 2015, included outreach through social media outlets including Twitter and Facebook and added an e-blast component to its electronic outreach. Efforts this year have been focused on increasing Facebook presence. While this will continue to be a priority, staff plans to develop an Instagram with a specific interest, such as highlighting sewer and wastewater services. The future of EVMWD social media will also include working with the Storm on mutual outreach as well as continuing to increase followers, engagement, and overall impressions within the community.
