Please see attachments for details. ENVIRONMENTAL WORK STATUS N/A FISCAL IMPACT Attachments: Splash Into Spring Outcomes -16- Item #3. Item #3. Summary of Event The Splash Into Spring event took place on March 31, 2012. Representatives: Home Depot, Lowe’s, City of Lake Elsinore, LESJWA, Elsinore High School Solar Cup, Western MWD, Diamond Valley Lake (display only), & Master Gardener Sheila Butler. Visits from The Storm’s Thunder Dog & LESJWA’s Bessie the Bass EVMWD booths, displays, activities & tours included: Conservation & Meters, Leak Detection, Salt Display, SCADA Demo, Vactor Truck & Video Van, Backhoe and other large equipment, Regional WWTP tour, Seymour Robotic Camera EVMWD Children’s activities included: Leak Detection, Leaking pipe, Basketball Pipes, Metal Medallion Hunt, color a Phinneas hat, Float A Boat Density Activity, Scavenger Hunt, Water Cycle Bracelets, Balloon Animals, Water Conservation and Mighty Microbe Tattoos, Face Painting Other: Info Booth, Food and Bottled Water -17- Volunteers: EVMWD Staff, EVMWD Family Members, Lakeside High School Interact Club and other Lakeside High School Students Actual Costs- $6568 Worth Noting Attendance: 478 Volunteer Participation: 65 Scout Participation– 25 badges were handed out. Survey Participation– 150 completed What we would like to see next year: Waste Water Tour Additional Displays and Demos -18- Storyboard/ Narrative display at the entrance to the Add more partners and focus on their Waste Water Tour.
