This document must be submitted to the Human Resources Department before the start of the in-training period. The internship will be accepted and valid only after signature of this convention. Citizenship & Free movements of workers European and Belgian legislation being strict, the citizenships allowed to work in Belgium are the following: EU: There are now 28 full European member countries of the European Union. Attention: As a student you are the one responsible to also apply for a Visa when doing your internship abroad. The above mentioned information is only for the Work Permit. As a non EU citizen, you are only allowed to stay 90 days in Belgium. For any longer stay, you need a VISA. Please take your info at the Belgian Embassy of your country. Accommodation The hotel is not able to provide students with accommodation. It is the trainee’s own responsibility to find him/herself a room/flat in Brussels. We can however help the trainee in finding a flat by giving him/her some addresses & Internet sites (see further). Please count between 350€ to 500€ depending on location, sharing, individual etc. Meals Meals in the canteen (personnel dining room) are provided every day free of charge to trainees during their internship. -9- Rue d’Idalie 35 Idaliestraat – 1050 Brussels – Belgium - Tel : +32 2 626 81 11 – Fax : +32 2 626 81 12 Internship Allowance - Belgian School: - Foreign School: None 496 € / month This allowance is calculated on basis of the actual performed working days. In case of illness, absence or disability, no allowance is paid out. Trainees should open a Belgian bank account; we do not pay the allowance in cash money or transfer it to a foreign account. On Luxembourg square you can find ING and Dexia. Opening an account is free of charge, internet banking is possible as well. Uniform Should a uniform be required, it will be provided by the hotel. The following department require a uniform: Soul of the House & Heart of the House Insurance The students should normally be insured by their school against any accidents either at the work place or whilst traveling to and from the work place. The job incumbent insures accurate and timely submission of information to the Financial Controller, controls and banks all hotel money, ensures proper controls for cash handling, and brings any discrepancies to the attention of the Financial Controller.
