What is the DAO?
With a history rich in major accomplishments
and outstanding successes against all odds, the
DAO has spent 30 years overcoming obstacles to
recognition as a health care profession, independence and self-governance.
The DAO was formed in 1982 by the amalgamation of the Denturist Society of Ontario
(DSO) and the Ontario Association of Denture
Therapists (OADT).
What does the DAO do for you?
• Promotes and advances Denturism through
public education and member training
• Promotes Denturism awareness through
public awareness campaigns
• Protects the rights of the public to access high
quality denture services
• Protects the rights of members
• Represents a group of over 530 Denturist
members, a unified voice on issues affecting
the profession
