PRC Direct enables referring clinicians to view, share and download patients’ images and reports performed by Perth Radiological Clinic anytime, anywhere. To apply for an account for PRC Direct, please contact your Customer Relations Manager who will gather some details to activate your account. HOW DO I LOG IN? 1. 2. Either a. b. Double Click on the PRC Direct shortcut on your desktop. Open a web browser and to go https://app.prcdirect.com.au When the PRC Direct login window appears, enter your username and password and click [Sign in]. Page 1 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide If you are a new user and do not have a username and password, click the ‘New user? Register for an account’ link to send an account request to your Customer Relations Manager. If you have forgotten your password, click the ‘Forgot your password?’ link. Enter the username of your PRC Direct account and click [Send]. This will send password reset instructions to the email address associated with your account. WHAT CAN I SEE NOW? Once logged in you will be presented with a list of your most recent patients referred by you or your group in the ‘PRC Direct – Dashboard’ window. Page 2 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide The ‘PRC Direct – Dashboard’ window is the launch point for accessing all your reports and images, as well as printing, transferring and requesting access to new patients. Patients are listed under two main tabs labeled “Outpatients” and “Transfers/Access Grants”. Hospital access accounts will show a third tab called “Inpatients” which provides a list of inpatient results. WHAT DO “PRIORITY RESULT”, “KEY IMAGE”, “WORKSHEET” AND “NOTE APPENDED” MEAN? Symbol Meaning Priority Result: A significant finding has been noted by the radiologist. Key Images: An image(s) has been chosen by the radiologist to be presented alongside the patient report to demonstrate radiological findings. Worksheet: A worksheet has been made available for the referring clinician to view alongside the patient report. Note attached: A note has been added to PRC Direct by the referring clinician for his/her own personal reference. HOW CAN I PERFORM A QUICK PATIENT SEARCH? 1. Simply enter your patient’s name, MRN (PRC Patient ID number) or PRC visit number into the search box 2. Click on [Search]. Page 3 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide TIP: TO LEARN HOW TO SAVE YOUR PREFERENCES FOR VIEWING YOUR PATIENT RESULTS, PLEASE REFER TO PAGE 12. HOW CAN I PERFORM AN ADVANCED PATIENT SEARCH? 1. Click [Advanced Options] 2. Enter one or more of the following details: a. Patient name b. Date range for the visit c. Selected modalities 3. Click [Search]. Page 4 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide HOW DO I REQUEST ACCESS TO A NEW PATIENT? 1. From the PRC Direct – Dashboard window, click [Request Access] for the PRC Direct – Request Access window to appear. 2. Enter the patient’s first name, last name and chose one identifier from the available options: a. Date of birth b. Post code c. Medicare number Page 5 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide 3. Click [Find Results]. 4. Once PRC Direct has found a match, your patient’s prior examinations performed at Perth Radiological Clinic will be shown in the list. You can now select the result you wish to view. IMPORTANT: BEFORE PROCEEDING, YOU MUST TICK TO DECLARE THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PATIENT’S MEDICAL CARE. PERTH RADIOLOGICAL CLINIC AUDITS AND PROVIDES ACCESS TO PATIENTS’ PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AUSTRALIAN PRIVACY LEGISLATION. 5. Click [OK]. 6. Click on the Transfer/Access Grants tab in the PRC Direct – Patient Search window to view your patient’s results. NOTE: ALTHOUGH YOU MUST SELECT A PARTICULAR STUDY, ALL OTHER RESULTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE PATIENT RESULT HISTORY SECTION OF THE REPORT (SEE BELOW). Page 6 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide HOW CAN I VIEW THE REPORT, IMAGES AND PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS (IF ANY)? 1. To view the patient’s results, click [View Report] or double click on the patient’s name from the PRC Direct – Patient Search window. 2. Your PRC Direct – Patient window will provide you with: a. Key Images In some cases, images selected from the entire radiological series are chosen by the Radiologist to be demonstrated alongside the patient report. NOTE: To view key images in full screen mode, simple double-click on the image. b. Patient Result History After you have referred a patient to Perth Radiological Clinic, your patient’s prior examinations (performed at Perth Radiological Clinic) will be accessible from Patient Result History section by selecting the required visit. c. Notes You can record your own notes below the patient report. These will be saved for your reference. Page 7 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide WHAT ELSE CAN I DO FROM THE PRC DIRECT - PATIENT WINDOW? 1. View Images To view the complete set of imaging, select [View Images] to launch Inteleviewer. NOTE: PLEASE REFER TO THE INTELEVIEWER USER GUIDE OR CONTACT YOUR CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. 2. Transfer To share your patients’ results with another clinician, select [Transfer]. To learn how to transfer a result, see page 8. 3. Print Reports printed or saved as a PDF will also include any key images associated with the report. Page 8 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide NOTE: AFTER CLICKING ‘PRINT’ THE REPORT IS DISPLAYED AS A PDF DOCUMENT. YOU CAN SAVE THIS PDF DOCUMENT WITHOUT PHYSICALLY PRINTING IF REQUIRED. HOW DO I TRANSFER A RESULT TO ANOTHER CLINICIAN? 1. From the patient’s report, click [Transfer], or, from the Patient List window, select your patient and click [Transfer] and the Transfer Result window will appear. 2. Enter the name of the clinician you wish to transfer your patient’s results to, or select a previous recipient already listed. NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY TRANSFER A RESULT TO ANOTHER CLINICIAN WHO IS ALSO USING PRC DIRECT. IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE DOCTOR YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGER TO ARRANGE FOR ACCESS TO PRC DIRECT. 3. Once you have found the correct clinician, select the name and click on the arrow so the clinician(s) is now seen in the “Recipients” (right-hand side) box. Page 9 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide NOTE: MULTIPLE RECIPIENTS CAN BE ADDED BY REPEATING STEPS 2 AND 3. 4. You may add a note to the recipient which will appear when the recipient receives the results. 5. Select [Transfer]. 6. The transfer is now complete and the results will now be accessible to the recipient. To view your Result Transfer history, please click on the “Transfers/Access Grants” tab in the Patient Search window. Page 10 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide HOW CAN I REVOKE OR FORWARD A TRANSFERRED RESULT? 1. From the PRC Direct - Patient Search window, select the Manage Transfers option. 2. The PRC Direct – Transfer Management window will appear showing a list of your transferred results. 3. To revoke the transfer of a result, select the result and click on [Revoke]. 4. To forward a result to another clinician, select the result and click on [Forward]. 5. The PRC Direct – Transfer Result window will appear. 6. Follow the instructions for “How to Transfer a Result” to complete the transfer to another clinician. Page 11 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PREFERENCES FOR VIEWING MY PATIENTS’ RESULTS? 1. From the ‘PRC Direct – Dashboard’ window, click on your username at the top right hand side and then click on [Settings]. 2. 3. Select the “Results” tab and modify your preferences as required. Click [Save] to save your preferences. HOW CAN I RECEIVE EMAIL OR SMS ALERTS WHEN PATIENT RESULTS ARRIVE TO MY PRC DIRECT ACCOUNT? 1. 2. 3. From the ‘PRC Direct – Dashboard’ window, click on your username at the top right hand side and then click on [Settings]. Select the “Alerts” tab and modify your preferences as required. Click [Save] to save your preferences. Page 12 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide HOW CAN I CHANGE THE WAY PRC DIRECT LAUNCHES INTELEVIEWER TO VIEW IMAGES? 1. From the ‘PRC Direct – Dashboard’ window, click on your username at the top right hand side and then click on [Edit Profile]. 2. Click on the link to download the relevant launcher installer and install on your PC. Page 13 of 14 PRC Direct User Guide 3. 4. 5. For steps on installing the launcher and other frequently asked questions, click the link ‘For launcher FAQs please click here’. Once the launcher has been installed, return to [Edit Profile]. You will see an option to ‘Use InteleViewer launcher (non-Java)’. Tick the checkbox to enable this option. Enter your current password and then click [Update] to save your settings. Once your settings have been updated and the launcher has been installed, when you click the ‘View Images’ button PRC Direct will launch InteleViewer without using Java.
