What the owners love...
" When we walked in here it felt like home, which is
exactly why we love it. Adding the multi fuel stove was
an instant hit, and worth exposing all the lovely
stonework. It's the perfect home."
What its got
Unhook the stylish black gate, pass through the foliage
which creates a wonderful 's ecret garden' feeling and
you've arrived. The front of this house is just as
enclosed and private as the back, which makes it
pretty special. There's a lawned area, space for
planting and even space to sit and enjoy the summer
months listening to the birds. When you enter this
wonderful home you will love the stylish interior. This
living room is filled with whites and lovely warm greys.
It's rather generous too, but the most captivating part
is the modern wood burning stove. What a superb
feature to have. Imagine cuddling up to watch a film in
this upper cosy room on a crisp spring evening.
The kitchen though, the most definitely the heart of this
home. It has glossy units, in white and a wood finish,
a sleek modern work surfac e and modern metro tiles.
With stainless steel appliances this is the perfect place
to impress your friends and colleagues when you host
the next get toget her.
Why you must view
The lovely rear garden is the perfect place for alfresc o
dining. Think Twinnings breakfast tea a slice of whole
grain toast with a rich raspberry jam and the sound of
the birds. It has space for planting too, and it even has
a shed here too.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The master
is to the rear and bedroom 2 overlooks the front of the
home. The bathroom has a bat h and over the bath
shower too for days where every minut e in the
morning counts. The landing has plenty of space for
additional storage, the current owner has used this to
their advantage and it looks great!
Where it is
Makinsons Row is just off Chapel street in Galgate.
Funnily enough google doesn't label this road. It's a
super road too, it has a row of terraces and parking to
the bottom end too. Galgate itself though is the most
fantastic area for commuting, they don't get better than
this. Access to the motorway (junction 33 M6) is just a
short drive away, so if you need motorway access it's
ideal. Then again, you may need to commute to
Lancaster, easy peasy!! Just hop on a bus on the
main road (just a few minut es walk) or you can drive
too, it's just past the University. Galgate is a lovely
village there is shops close by for that last minute milk
run, there is also a Marina for narrowboats and a local
pub too. Access to Preston via the A6 is also an
option. Pretty handy for everything!
