American Legion Family:
 Mike Mears
 James E. Short
 Diana M. Tamarez
Our current membership stands at 691 which is only
90% of our 2015 goal. If you haven't renewed please
do so. You are a very important part of our family and
in order for our voice to be heard in Congress, we need
every veteran behind us to insure that our veterans get
the best care possible.
The 2016 membership cards are in and if you have a
chance, stop by the Post and leave your dues. Or you
can go on line and renew.
Finance. The April P&L was reviewed. A discussion
took place about some items.
House. The April banquet manager’s report and
suggestions were reviewed.
A few suggestions
submitted included: Trash bags are needed, photos of
candidates for election would be helpful, and there
should be a committee for volunteerism. The AC unit
in the game room is not functioning correctly.

Well, we’ve made it through another year
and survived. Our active members are dwindling fast,
but thanks to those people and a few very much
appreciated volunteers we got the flags on the
veteran’s graves at Flint Hill Cemetery Thursday (in
the rain). I want to thank Margaret Dellinger,
Marion Reeves, Coleen Walsh and Toni and Vito
Florimonte for a job well-done.
Also, we gave out poppies on Friday and Saturday at
some stores in the area and at Viva Vienna on Sunday
and Monday. I want to thank Marvis Bender,
Carolyn Davis and daughter, Dan & Margaret
Dellinger, Marion, Marivic Uhron, Joyce Miller,
Estelle McNeil, Pilar Walsh, Ron Patterson, Phil
Hendrickson and Jordan Hendrickson, and John
Reeves for this very important job. Also, Dan
Dellinger, John Reeves and anyone else who helped
put the tent up and Dan, John, Jordan and Joe Payne
for taking it down and putting it in the truck.
Our last meeting until September is June 10. Hope
to see more of you then. The joint meeting is Friday,
