GETTING STARTED WITH HSBC AMANAH ADVANCE How to activate, register and utilise your banking tools. HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i To enjoy the convenience of the HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking service, you will need to activate your Security Device with the following steps: Once you have received your HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i, you can activate it by calling our 24 hour hotline1 at 1300 80 2626 or +603 8321 5200 (if you are calling from an overseas location). 1. Click on “Log on” for Personal Internet Banking on www.hsbcamanah.com.my Activate your HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i in 3 simple steps: 2. Key in your Username. 1. Insert your HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i into an HSBC Bank/HSBC Amanah’s ATM in Malaysia. 3. Select “Log in with Security Device”. 2. Enter your bank issued PIN number and follow the instructions on the screen to change your PIN. 5. Press “Yes” to continue for Security Device Activation Setup. 4. Key in primary and secondary passwords. 6. Input Security Device Serial Number and Security Code. 3. Your HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i will be activated and ready to use. HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking 7. Enter the last 3 digits of the mobile phone number registered with the bank. Start paying your bills, perform online transactions and access your accounts with HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking anytime, anywhere by doing the following: 1. Click on the "Register" button on the top right hand side of the www.hsbcamanah.com.my homepage. 2. Identify yourself with either your Telebanking, Credit Card-i or Debit Card-i Number. 3. Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). 4. Create your Username. 5. Set your desired primary and secondary passwords. 6. Choose and answer two security questions. 7. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions. If you agree, please select “Yes”. 8. Please select and set your preferences. Review the details entered and if there are no changes to be made, click on "Confirm Changes". 9. To view your account summary, click on "Complete Registration". 8. Input the Authorisation Code that is sent to your mobile phone to complete the activation. If you have not received your Security Device, you may visit any nearest HSBC Amanah branch to obtain the Security Device. HSBC Amanah’s wealth dashboard Be in control of your wealth portfolio by consolidating all your holdings with HSBC Amanah in one platform that you may use for reference when you need to make decisions to enhance your wealth. You can access and monitor your investments conveniently by just logging in to your HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking. Global View/Global Transfer support2 Global View/Global Transfer allows you to view and manage your HSBC Amanah accounts from anywhere in the world via HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking. Simply link your HSBC Amanah accounts to Global View by selecting the country/territory where your accounts are held. Enter individual username and security details for each account. Once done, your accounts will appear in your Global View and you may start transferring2 funds between your accounts with a minimal fee of USD7 (RM23.32 equivalent). HSBC Amanah Telebanking This service is available if you have opted for HSBC Amanah Telebanking service during the account opening process. You will be provided with your 6-digit Telebanking Personal Identification Number (TPIN) and 10-digit Personal Banking Number (PBN) or 16-digit Credit Card-i number (if applicable), which will be needed to access HSBC Amanah Telebanking service. • Send and receive secure messages with HSBC Amanah HSBC Amanah Mobile Banking app can be easily accessed with the following devices: • Apple® iPhone® iOS 6.0 and higher. • AndroidTM – powered devices with platform 2.3 and higher. However, customers are strongly recommended to upgrade to Android version 4.0 and above which has enhanced security features. In order to download the HSBC Amanah Mobile Banking app, you need to be registered for HSBC Amanah Personal Internet Banking and have your Personal Internet Banking credentials readily available (Username, Memorable Answer, and Password). Applicable for HSBC Amanah Perks@Work or CEPs Plus customers only. This criteria allows you to enjoy 24 months Account Fee waiver, after which, you are required to meet the TRB criteria. To be eligible for HSBC Amanah Advance, you are required to satisfy one of the following criteria: (a) Deposits in Current Account, Savings Account, Time Deposits, and/or Investment in Unit funds, Structured Investments*, Dual Currency Investments* and/or Direct Retail bond*, and/or Cash value from Family Life Insurance products with investment-linked and savings components. If you have been paying the Monthly Account Fee for a consecutive period of 12 months, your HSBC Amanah Advance Account-i will automatically be redesignated to an HSBC Amanah Basic Current Account-i. (b) Minimum Home Financing of RM300,000 (c) Minimum monthly salary of RM5,000 credited into HSBC Amanah Advance Account-i for HSBC Amanah Perks@Work or CEPs Plus customers only *From 1 September 2014, these products are no longer available for Amanah Advance customers. Funds remitted before 12.30pm will be received on the same day while funds remitted after 12.30pm will be available the next banking day. Other important things you need to know If your Total Relationship Balance (TRB) falls below the minimum required balance of RM30,000, a Monthly Account Fee of RM10.60 is chargeable for every monthly the TRB requirement is not fulfilled. The Total Relationship Balance of your sole account will include balances from your related joint accounts. To protect your privacy, we will not include sole account balances when calculating the Total Relationship Balance for joint accounts. This means that joint accounts will need to maintain a separate Total Relationship Balance. You should be aware that…. Emergency Encashment service You should be aware that…. In order to facilitate the application process of the encashment service abroad, you will need to produce your HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i,your HSBC Amanah Advance Account-i bank statement or cheque book. You may also be required to produce your National Identification Card, Passport or photo card driving licence for identification purposes. RM10 For Amanah Advance eligibility via the Home Financing criteria, you are entitled to enjoy perpetual fee waiver until full settlement of Home Financing. Thereafter, you are required to meet the TRB requirement. Other important things you need to know Please note that the application for emergency funds is subject to approval from your home country and local regulations with a limit of up to USD10,000. The cash will be provided in the local currency of the country in which you are in, and will be debited from your account within 7 working days. Other important things you need to know • Global limit – USD1,000,000 This will be a daily limit that cannot be exceeded in any 24-hour period. • Transaction limit – USD100,000 per transaction subject to not exceeding the Global limit in any 24-hour period. • Entity Limit – USD100,000 per transaction subject to not exceeding the Global limit for all entities except countries who have local regulatory restrictions. • Set your own transfer limit but it cannot exceed the Global limit. HSBC Amanah Advance Visa Debit Card-i You should be aware that…. An annual fee of RM8.48 will be applied. As for the issuance and replacement of debit card-i, it is chargeable at RM8.48 and RM10 respectively.
