Call to Worship
The 225th Anniversary celebration, September 20. We will remember the blessings
the Lord has given to and through Bethlehem Baptist church while looking forward to
even greater things yet to be done in this city! Some of our daughter churches will be
joining us for a wonderful time of dinner on the grounds, singing celebration, and remembrances of the past. Mark your calendars for this “can’t miss event”.

225th Celebration Costumes— Part of the joy of the upcoming celebration will be the
congregation dressing as someone from the past. Pick your favorite decade and come to
church on September 20 dressed in clothing reflecting that decade. Start planning now,
you have 225 years to choose from!
Children’s Council — will meet Monday, August 24, at 7:00pm.
Birthday Luncheon — The next celebration of our special birthday people
will be Tuesday, September 1, at 11:30 at the Golden Corral. Come celebrate with us people who have birthdays in August and September. It is
always a fun and refreshing time.
Wednesday Night Family Dinners — will resume Wed., Sept. 2. Since
schedules and interests change, we are asking everyone to sign-up again
for the standing list. Or if you only want to eat here occasionally, feel free
to use the form in the bulletin, call, or email the church with your request
as needed.
Extended Session is a special time for our children, who are too young to be in the
Sunday morning worship service, to have their own interactive worship experience. We
are in need of volunteers who desire to work with our children and see them grow in
their understanding of worshipping God. We ask the volunteers to join the rotation
about once every 2 months. If you are interested in volunteering please see John Thompson.
School Supplies—This is our last day. School supplies are being collected by the Middle District Association. There are several drop off locations in the area. If you are unable to drop off the supplies to one of these locations, there is a box in the foyer near the
Fellowship Hall to drop some off. See the brochure in the foyer or go to Middle District’s
website, MDBA.org, for further details.
Music Ministry — The choir will have off the month of August. The praise team will lead
the congregation in music worship. All music entities (i.e. Choir, Hand Bells, etc.) will
resume in September 9th after Labor Day, Kidz Klub will resume on September 16.
Employment Opportunity — An older couple at Ironbridge Baptist Church needs someone to help them in the evenings from 4-11pm. The couple lives in the Bon Air area and is
willing to pay $15 per hour. For more information call the church office or IBC at 7966868.
