For more info: call 860-701-9113 or visit www.ChamberECT.com/events REGISTER JUNE 26 Business Breakfast: Senate Update with U.S. Senator Chris Murphy Chelsea Groton Foundation Surpasses $1.9 Million in Giving The Chelsea Groton Foundation awarded $111,478 in grants to 62 non-profit organizations from eastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island this spring. Inclusive of these donations, the Foundation has provided over $1.9 million in total grants to the community since 1999. Springtime grant awards included: $7,500 to the Covenant Shelter of New London, Inc. to help the homeless move into permanent housing; $5,000 to the Center for Hospice Care SE CT which will help provide care to patients without insurance; $3,000 to the Children’s Museum of SE CT in Niantic to accommodate children regardless of mobile ability; and many more. Each year, Chelsea Groton Bank and the Chelsea Groton Foundation support more than 200 local organizations through monetary gifts, grants, sponsorships, scholarships and employee volunteerism.
