A Melody of Melodies
By Toni Jackson, 5H
The tap of a dancer’s feet
Form the percussion, the main beat
Instruments create a harmony
They set the mood, this sound is key
On this night
They will unite
To be able to perform with such ease
This is the melody of melodies
The voice creates a wonderful song
These young people can’t be wrong
Their talents cannot be ignored
The audience cannot be bored
On this night
They will unite
To be able to perform with such ease
This melody of melodies
These talented boys and girls
Create the melody that is PEARLS

From PEARLS PTA’s President
The PEARLS PTA is so proud to be sponsoring this great event. I know
the show will be spectacular. This will be an amazing showcase of talent.
It is great to see such an array of talented participants. We have
such diverse representation from grades 3 through 8.
We have wonderfully talented dance groups and solo dancers
performing ballet, modern, hip hop and Irish step. We also have
singing groups and solo singers. There are guitar players, violinists,
a piano player, a tin whistle player and an actress.
You really represent the PEARLS community. On behalf of the
PEARLS PTA officers and board, we wish you success tonight.
“I believe
that every
person

Music
By Danielle Touba, 4A
It’s the sound in my head
Played by flutes and guitars
It’s the music that makes me
Reach high for the stars
Singing and dancing, playing a tune
Swirling and twirling on top of the moon
It’s the music that makes me fly like a bird
As my voice soars higher
When I sing every word
Music is my guide each day
As it fills my heart in a special way
It’s the sound in my head
Played by flutes and guitars
It’s the music that makes me
Reach high for the stars

When Mama Says
Don’t Worry
By Enzo Kim, 4-201
When Mama says don’t worry
I get content of my fury,
I’ll know I’ll be happy
from day one to day two.
She kids around with me
until I get older
then she hands me a key.
When Mama says don’t worry,
I know who I’m talking to.
All the time I may cry,
she sings me a happy lullaby.
She’s comforted by my heart,
she event goes to the cookie mart.
Even though I can’t seem to smile,
she helps me get through a rough
tough mile
When Mama says don’t worry,
I know who I can trust.
Even though I have to go to school,
to learn a lot I must,
I can go to Mars,
I can got to Jupiter,
nobody stupider,
Can be smarter than MA!

My Family
By Sanjana Varma, 6-1
Deep down in our hearts, we know how much our families love us.
They loved us yesterday and they will love us tomorrow,
They offer support and share every joy and sorrow.
They stand by you when you face the good and bad,
And forgive you, even when you make them extremely mad.
I truly love my family for many reasons,
But above all, I know that no matters what happens,
Wherever I go and whatever I do,
I will always have a loving home to come back to.
