Training for Evaluation Managers
Intermediate- Advanced Level Course, 30 - 31 October 2012, Stockholm
This course covers the basics of evaluation management with a view to address the
specific challenges managing evaluation. It is intended for people who manage
evaluation and evaluation processes in their work and who are interested in best
practice and sharing of experiences with their peers.
The aim is to enable professionals who manage evaluation to better understand and
improve the planning, design and to allocate resources in an optimal way, whether
this relates to data collection, human resources and time, or use of the final outputs.
The course is designed around the main difficulties experienced by practitioners and
drawing on the rich experience from the facilitators Mr. Stefan Dahlgren (previous
head of Sida Evaluation Unit) and Mr Emery Brusset (Director of Channel Research
and Evaluation Team leader), both veterans in the field of managing various types of
evaluation such as complex evaluation and joint donor evaluation.
The training will focus on:

- Design of evaluation and determining factors
- Evaluation production, challenges and best practise

The full price of the session is € 1800 including training, materials and all meals at
the training location for 2 days. An early booking reduction of € 1700 will be
provided for those participants who pay the training fee before 15 September 2012.
The training cost includes transport from and to Stockholm airport and the training
venue, training, training manual and materials, accommodation at the training
location for 2 nights (October 29 - 30, on single basis) and all meals.
