Dear NEDA colleagues,
On behalf of the National Educational Debate Association (NEDA). Fullerton College and
California State University, Fullerton invite you to the 2016 NEDA National Championship Debate
Tournament, to be held on the Fullerton College campus March 11 & 12, 2016.
The National Educational Debate Association topic for this year’s Championship is Resolved:
The United States federal government should significantly raise the minimum wage.
We at Fullerton College and CSU Fullerton are honored to host this first NEDA Championship Tournament
West of the Rockies.

REGISTRATION
Registration and judges-sign-in will be in Applied Arts/Humanities Bldg. Room 521 (Friday, 1:30-3:30pm).
ENTRIES
1. Email entries to Michael Bauer (Ball State) mbauer2@bsu.edu
2. Entry fees
$70 per debate team.
$60 judges fee per uncovered team. Each judge covers two teams.
3. Entries are due by 11:00pm, March 6.
4. Make checks out to ERIKA THOMAS (CSUF).
DIVISIONS AND AWARDS
1. We are offering Open and Novice divisions of POLICY and PUBLIC FORUM debate.
2. Depending on the number of teams, Open and Novice teams might face each other in rounds; teams will be
separated by division for awards and final rounds
3. There will be final rounds in all divisions as warranted
4. Team awards will be given to the top 5 teams in each division.
Speaker awards will be given to the top 5 individual debaters in each division.
Sweepstakes awards will be given to the top 5 schools.

PARKING
We will supply free parking passes during registration. They will be good for Friday and Saturday. The
Student Parking Structure is located near the 500 Humanities Building.

1. Exit the freeway at the Chapman Avenue exit. Note: There are two exits on this stretch of freeway
called "Chapman Avenue". The exit you will want to take is North of the 91 Freeway.
2. Turn left and proceed approximately 2 miles to the West.
3. Turn right on North Lemon Blvd and proceed approximately 200 yards to our parking structure and
turn right into the parking facility.
57 Freeway South
