Where Does The Time Go In
Summertime?
Here we are again looking down the
final month of summertime. August
always seems to be a crazy month.
A month where we transition from
summertime fun and vacations to
getting ready to enter the fall mode
of activities. Of course, as you read
this, the summer still has many days of
fun left to experience. August is also
a month for new TV premieres. We
have listed some of them on the next
page along with the channel number
as broadcasted on our digiMAX IPTV
network.
In this issue we have geared up for the
Metamora Football season once again.
digiMAX Sports will be broadcasting
every football game (home and away)
of the Metamora Redbirds on our
broadcast of Redbird Replay. We have
two locations that you can watch the
replay video after the game on Friday
night and through the weekend. They
will be broadcast at the Germantown
Grille and at Kouri’s, which are both
located in Germantown Hills. Check
with them to get the times that
Redbird Replay will be playing.
The other way that you can catch all of
the Redbird football action is to make
sure you are subscribed to digiMAX
IPTV service. digiMAX will broadcast
all of the 2013 football games on our
local content channel (400/410). We
have fantastic local commentators
giving you the play by play action
along with interviews with the coach
and complete stats of the game.
digiMAX will air the game many times
throughout the season along with
the new games every week. Also, you
will find games from last year along
with other high school sports, events
and even grade school and high
school bands and concerts. We even
broadcast some games from years
past from our archived collection of
Metamora sports.
Our local channel is here for
the community. Not too many
communities have their own local
television station to keep connected
with the local events that happen in
their town. Watch us as we expand
the local content channel to include
other events, meetings, and festivities
that are always happening here in our
hometown.
So as we do the last jumps in the
pool and barbeques on the patio, get
yourself ready for all of the fall action
of local sports that digiMAX provides.
Give us a call today and subscribe to
digiMAX TV. You will love our 100%
digital, built from the ground up,
television service. We are the only
provider that brings you local TV
content and a local magazine to keep
you connected with the community.
On The Cover
The Annual 4th of July Parade of
Boats cruising around on White
Oak Lake in Germantown Hills

rights.

Red Flags
Internet scams are now something we encounter
every day. Without your full attention it is easy for
scammers to obtain your email contacts and even
personal information. Here are some scams that
should set off red flags when you see them.
From free smartphones to tablets, most of these
promotions are fraudulent. Ads ask for personal
information or ask you to download a program to
be eligible for the free item. If you supply them with
this they now have the access to information that
can aid them in stealing your identify or add extra
charges to your cell phone bill. If you are not sure of
a promotion, go to the advertised company’s official
web page and if the giveaway is not listed on the
home page it is more than likely a scam.
Another concern are video links on the sides of
Internet pages. Once you click on the video, it may
ask you to update your video player; however, when
you click on it you may be downloading a virus. One
way to avoid this is to go onto Google or YouTube
and search for the video by title there. If the video
does not appear in the search it is likely just a scam.
You may also come across an ad saying that it can
change the color, font, or layout of your social media
sites, or show you who unfriended you, viewed your
profile, or let you know you have messages from a
hidden sender. If it is not listed on the pages official
edit or message options it is more than likely a scam.
Downloading their program may give scammers a
nice look into more of your personal information.
