What is C5 Georgia?
C5 Georgia is an intensive leadership development program for high-performing teens from
at risk environments. We prepare youth with skills needed to succeed in college, work and
life. How do we do this? We engage them in challenging, fun and rewarding experiences like
camps, travel and adventure activities.

As a staff member at C5 Georgia, you’ll play an essential role in leading activities that promote leadership, teamwork, responsibility and independence. You will develop your own
leadership skills and grow personally through quality training, challenging activities and insightful coaching. Expect to develop teambuilding and facilitation skills as well as experience
leading a variety of outdoor activities.

Summer Employment Opportunities
C5 Georgia was established in 2005 and serves approximately 350 teens from throughout Metro Atlanta.
C5 Georgia’s summer home on Lookout Mountain in Northwest Georgia is just 2 hours north of Atlanta and 45 minutes
from Chattanooga, TN. This scenic 900-acre camp offers experiences that are a world away from life in the big city. The
nearest small community is Cloudland, GA. Summer employment opportunities also take place in Wyoming and on college campuses in NC, SC, FL and GA.

In general, C5 Georgia hires staff for the following roles:
Group Cabin Counselor (minimum age 19)
Works intensively with 6 youth; provides supervision; focuses on group management & development of youth
skills; Relationship-focused; encourages participation;
coaches & provides feedback; facilitates daily discussions.
Minimum Salary: Georgia $2000; Wyoming $2100
Specialist (minimum age 19)
Manages skill-building progressions (equestrian, aquatics,
canoeing, high ropes, expressive arts); connects activities
to outcomes; monitors safety; abides by established procedures; assists with 24-hour operations (supervision, admin,
etc). Minimum Salary: $2250
Trek Leader (minimum age 21)
Requires basic outdoor skills; engages youth in planning &
leading 5-day trips (mountain biking, canoeing, rafting,
hiking); connects experiences to C5 objectives; assists with
24-hour operations (supervision, admin, etc).
Minimum Salary: $2100
Team Leader: Wyoming (minimum age 21)
Leads 20-day wilderness trips in Wyoming & Montana with
C5 youth; facilitates structured curriculum (case studies,
mission statements, goal setting); supervises group counselors; coordinates travel logistics. Minimum Salary: $2100
Assistant Program Director (minimum age 24)
Provides leadership for staff & youth; focuses on large
group management & program quality; teaches daily leadership curriculum; supervises staff development; insures
youth engage in a quality experience aligned with C5 objectives. Salary: DOE
Nurse (minimum age 21)
Monitors health & wellness; distributes medication; manages emergency & non-emergency health issues; on-site &
accessible 24-hours/day; establishes systems; orients staff;
conducts health screenings; controls inventory. RNs preferred. Salary: DOE
Road to College Staff (minimum age 20)
Leads 7-day tours of regional campuses; goal is to explore
the “college” experience holistically; focus on financial aid,
applications & admission requirements; staff facilitate discussions & provide supervision.
Minimum Salary: $400 per event
ACT Now! Summit Staff (minimum age 20)
Assists with 5-day workshop exploring community action
& advocacy; includes supervision, small group discussions,
researching community issues with youth & meeting with
local community leaders. Minimum Salary: $400
Other positions include:
Office Manager Minimum Salary: $2500
Food Service Manager Salary: DOE
Assistant Cook/Dishwasher Minimum Salary: $2250
Maintenance/Housekeeping Minimum Salary: $2250

Youth Selection is an important part of C5 Georgia!
From thousands of students affiliated with partner schools & agencies, we select 72 highperforming youth to join C5 Georgia. The C5 Selection Triangle helps identify young people who
are likely to benefit and add to C5, and who meet our readiness criteria. Selection is based on
nominations, reference letters, an application including an essay and interviews.

intentional part of our program, but our focus is on developing young leaders.
