Safety Information
Flying models are not toys, and should only be operated by responsible clear thinking people. Assembling and maintaining models
requires a basic level of technical skill, and a sensible logical approach. Any error in building, repairing or maintaining the model
could result in serious injury or damage. Technical problems or an
incorrectly assembled model may lead to the propeller unexpectedly beginning to turn. Always stay out of the vicinity of rotating
propellers and never allow any item to come into contact with a
spinning prop. As neither the manufacturer or the dealer has any
influence over the way that models are operated they can accept
no responsibility for and damage caused.
If this model is the first radio controlled model which you are attempting to build or fly, you should secure the assistance of an
experienced model pilot. Your local dealer will be able to assist
you in locating your local model aircraft club or experienced pilots
in your area. NEVER fly your model over people and never operate
the model in way which may endanger people or animals. Before
your first flight you should conduct a range check of the radio control system, secure the model to a solid object, and ensure that you
have full control of all functions with the antennae collapsed over a
distance of at least 25 metres. Before and after every flight inspect
the model for damage, and rectify any faults before you attempt to
take off. The operator is responsible for any damage caused by the
operation of flying models.
Always observe any local laws regarding the operation of model
aircraft.
Furthermore, the following instructions must be followed:
*The kit contains small parts which may cause choking if swallow
ed keep away from small children.
*The model should not be changed in any way, doing so will invalidate the guarantee.
*Never come into contact with rotating parts.
*Do not fly over wet ground or grass as water will damage the
models electrical components
*Do not expose the model or batteries to direct sunlight, always
keep them in the shade.
*Inspect the model before and after every flight for damage.
*Only ever fly the model if it is in perfect working order.
*The model can only be flown in good weather. Do not fly in wind,
rain or thunder storms.
*Find a place to fly which complies with any laws, and is free from
obstacles such as trees, houses or power cables.
*Remember that your model is made from such materials as plastic
and wood, and as such is inflammable. Keep it away from any open
flame, or high temperatures.
*When operating the model, switch on the transmitter first and
then the aircraft, switch off in the reverse order.
*Always ensure that the throttle stick is in the low position before
you switch on.

Warning!
In some countries it is a legal requirement to carry third party indemnity insurance when operating a radio controlled model.

CNC Laser cut formers and ribs, strip, die-cut selected balsa
and light ply sheet.
Fitting kit including, horns, hinges etc.
Clear canopy.
Instructions.
Building the Model
1. Glue the fuselage parts together over a building board to
ensure that they remain flat.
2. Glue the ply strengthener to the wing mounting plate.
3. Glue the strenghtening rings and the blind nuts to the
mounting plate.
4. Glue the completed sub-assembly to the former ensuring that
they are at right angles.
3
Building the Model
5. Pin the fuselage plate onto the building board inverted and
glue the formers to it ensuring that they are vertical as shown.
6. Glue on the fuselage strengtheners as
shown and allow the assembly to dry
thoroughly.
9.
4
The perfect choice of modelling clamps to build this or any other
model are our Mini Microfi Clamps. Item Nr. 19 0037 X !
Item Nr. 19 0036 X 6
7. Glue the balsa stringers onto the
fuselage sides followed by the triangular
stock at the rear.
Slide the battery mounting plate into place and glue it
securely.
8. Use the left-over pieces for the
remaining stringers.
10. Securely glue the engine mount into place ensuring that it is
vertical. Cut horizontally through the engine mount.
Building the Model
11. Use pieces of scrap to strengthen the joint around the engine
mount.
12. Fit and glue the fuselage upper formers into place.
13. Use thin foil or greaseproof paper to cover the area of the
fuselage where the battery access hatch fits and glue the hatch
formers and base into place. Ensure that no adhesive gets
onto the fuselage.
14. Fit the stringers noting that they protrude into the fuselage
formers and then cut the hatch frame free.
15. Remove the hatch frame
16. and use balsa sheet to cover it.
5
Building the Model
17. Fit the hatch to the fuselage and sand it down for a good fit.
18. Moisten 2-3 strips of balsa sheet and use them to plank the
bottom of the fuselage. Do not fully plank this area to allow
you to fit the nose wheel mounting plate.
19. Assemble these parts if using a fixed undercarriage.
20. Fixed undercarriage mounting plate glued into place.
21. If a retracting undercarriage is to be used, glue the mounting
plates into place as shown here.
22. Assemble the nose formers and when they are glued to teh
fuselage, sand to shape.
The motor should initially be fitted with 2° side thrust and
2.5° down thrust. Adjust the engine and motor rings until the
prop shaft is central. This is best achieved by fitting a 38mm spinner.
6
Building the Model
23. Moisten balsa sheet strips and use them to plank the
fuselage.
24. Glue the elevator mounting plate into place.
25. Fit the left and right servo plates and the upper capping.
26. Fitting the (13mm) mini servos.
The servos are fitted as shown above below the elevator
mounting plate.
27. Fit the elevators and sand to shape.
28. Add the sheeting to the servo mounting area.
7
Building the Model
29. Use a pin to find the position of the servo frames and cut
away the sheeting as shown.
30. Use pins to fix the elevator into position. Do NOT glue it at
this stage!
31. Glue the rear decking stringers to the formers. Do not glue
them onto the elevators or to the fuselage yet.
32. Remove the frame and add the sheeting. Sand the lower edges and ends flush.
8
Building the Model
33. With the elevators in place (or 2 pieces of 4mm scrap) glue
the decking securely to the rear of the fuselage.
Do Not glue the decking to the elevators!
34. When the glue has completely cured remove the elevators
and sand the decking/fuselage joint smooth.
35. Securely glue the 6 laminations for the tail cone to the
fuselage and the decking.
36. Sand to shape.
37. Pin the spar onto the building board.
38. Glue the doublers together.
9
Building the Model
39. Use a craft knife to separate the ribs from sheet.
40. Fit the ribs, rear spar and inner leading edge and when every
thing is square and true glue the parts together.
41. Fit the left and right hand servo frames.
42. Glue the undercarriage mounting doublers securely into
place.
43. Fit the middle leading edge and sand the contour to match
the ribs.
44. Glue the root rib on ensuring that it is at right angles.
10
Zusammenbau
45. Dampen balsa sheet and use it to plank the upper side of the
wing as shown.
46. Rear wing sheeting.
47. Complete the upper sheeting as shown and fit the servo cable
extensions.
48. Make a linkage as shown to drive the air-brakes. Once this is
fitted the remaining planking should be added.
49. Fit the outer leading edge and the laminated wing tips. Sand
to shape.
50. Use 6 + 3mm balsa to form the ailerons and air-brakes. Use
a razor plane and sand paper to feather down to a sharp
edge.
11
Building the Model
51. Securely glue the wing halves together fitting the wing joiner
at the same time.
Microfix Micro Clamps are available from us, JAMARA e.K.
Item Nr. 19 0037 X 1
Item Nr. 19 0036 X 6
The lower side should now be sheeted and the whole wing
filled and sanded to a good finish and the correct aerofoil.
52. Use a piece of scrap 6mm balsa to form a fairing and sand it to shape so that the wings fit accurately to the fuselage.
53. Fit the retractable undercarriage (this is optional).
12
54. Fit the retracting nose wheel (this is optional).
Zusammenbau
55. Retracting undercarriage fitted.
56. Paint the canopy from the inside having used making tape or
liquid mask to protect the areas which you want to remain
clear.
57. Air-Brake linkage.
58. The completed model ready for covering.
