Neal’s Yard
Remedies
Ethical Organic Health & Beauty
From a quiet corner in
central London…
 It all began in 1981 in a once forgotten
corner, Neal’s Yard, London.
 Romy Fraser opened the Neal’s Yard
Apothecary where she sold herbs,
homeopathy and natural raw ingredients to
locals interested in natural living.
 The brand became a real pioneer of the
times, pushing against the synthetic chemical
approach to skincare, beauty and wellbeing.
 The first shop in Covent Garden still stands
and is still one of the busiest in the UK.

They sow it.
They grow it.
 Independent, family-owned company
 Made in Britain: Scientific development and manufacturing in Peacemarsh, Dorset
 Production of small batches using high quality natural and certified organic herbs,
oils and extracts
 Eco-factory with high performance glass to maximise daylight and keep the offices
naturally cooled; ‘grey water’ from the manufacturing process is recycled to flush the

They
bottle it.
 Inspired by the apothecaries of old & their deep knowledge of herb-based remedies
 One of the distinctive features of their trade was the blue bottles filled with herbs
and potions that lined their shelves
 Born from a practical need – to protect the contents from the damaging effects of
UV light - the iconic dark blue glass enables us to create highly natural skincare with
few, if any, preservatives
 100% recyclable

Refreshing
citrus scent
Bergamot
 Fresh and sweet aroma lifts the mood like a breath of fresh air
 The name Bergamot is derived from the city Bergamo in Lombardy where the oil was
first sold. This tree is native to South East Asia but was introduced to Europe, and
particularly Italy where it was used in the perfume industry to create Eau de Cologne.
Litsea
 Crisp citrus aroma with wonderful uplifting properties
 Often used in Asia for Spring festivals to bring about renewal of energy.
Mandarin
 A sweet sparkling citrus aroma to invoke happiness & joy
 Originating from China where Mandarins were reserved exclusively for the king’s own
pleasure, they were shipped from Asia to Europe in 1805 where the essential oil was
extracted for perfume making.
