The festival in 2012 was "small but perfectly formed" - the artistic quality was high, and the connection between food and music innovative. The audience loved it and the festival attracted a lot of interest - not least from Italian TV. Our small festival was a big success, thanks first and foremost to massive local support. In 2013, it is a great pleasure for us to announce that Buggio and Pigna also are participating, and will host a number of concerts. The program this year includes a wide selection of wonderful music, such as Mozart's Clarinet Quintet and the Schumann Piano Quintet. We have persuaded a number of Denmark"s top musical talents to play for us. They come from the Royal Opera Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and include the sublime mezzosoprano Helene Gjerris. WHO IS BEHIND: Behind this Festival is a society “AMICI DELLA MUSICA E DEI SAPORI DELL’ALTA VAL NERVIA" to support and guide the development of the festival. Alta Nervia includes Buggio, Pigna and Castelvittorio. The members of the society are working in close collaboration with the local councils and a range of local people. All members of the committee work voluntarily. The festival involves not only musical events and other cultural events of international standard but does also serve as a vehicle for the promotion of the many local high quality products which the region produces. We seek to combine cultural events with the promotion of local industry. F.ex. the superb olive oil which deserves a much greater gourmet public than it presently reaches. We hope you will enjoy yourself. The entrance to all concerts are free but we invite you to either become a member of the associazion "Amici della musica e dei sapori dell'alta val Nervia" or simply give us your support. The association will be present at all events. L’ASSOCIAZIONE "AMICI DELLA MUSICA E DEI SAPORI DELL'ALTA VAL NERVIA” Composta da volontari che contribuiscono con un piccolo sostegno economico gli eventi musicali e gastronomici del territorio. I migliori artisti della Danimarca sono lieti di offrire i loro concerti perché attratti da questi magici luoghi che da poco tempo sono sempre più ricercati da artisti internazionali per la bellezza e la tranquillità presenti nella magnifica vallata.
