Young Adult Volunteering Scheme
Creating Opportunities for Participation
MISSION / VISION:
Development Impact For Nigeria [DIFN] is a UK
based Diaspora led development agency working in
Nigeria. DIFN’s ambition is to create opportunities
for the UK Nigerian Diaspora [and other interested
friend of Nigeria] to actively participate in development related issues in Nigeria.
DIFN’s Diaspora Trainers /
Working Holiday Scheme
DIFN is keen to work with UK based young adults [18
to 24 years] who want a productive, rewarding and
affordable volunteer placement in Lagos, Nigeria.
Are you a UK based professional
especially of Nigeria or African heritage?
Placements will be with our partners and at the
moment will mainly be in Lagos.
Can you volunteer 1 to 4 weeks of your
time as capacity building trainers in
Nigeria?
Placements are self funded and are available all year
round and can be on an individual basis or as a group.
Can you self fund your placement?
Placements run from 4 weeks to 12 months.

Main placements will include

Working in local government primary schools
constructing nursery play units and supporting
early years education through play.
We also endeavour to operate under the principles of

Working with community youth groups on
personal and community development projects

Working with local government vocational
training centres as a skills instructor teaching
ICT, Web and Graphic Design, Music Production, Art and Drama and other vocational
skills.
