Just A Step Away Royal Arcade (above tinfish shoes) 7th & 8th December 2013 @ 4pm - 8pm Just A Step Away Just a Step Away is a collaboration between Leicester University and Curve associate artists, METRO-BOULOT-DODO. Just a Step Away uses projected image and audio to tell stories around the rise, fall and reinvention of the boot and shoe industry in Leicester. Through the exploration of archives held at Leicester University, MACE and Leicester’s Record Office, METRO-BOULOT-DODO have created 6 short films. These films will projected onto the windows of Leicester’s Royal Arcade, just above Tin Fish Shoes, on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December from 4pm – 8pm. Come along to catch a glimpse of Leicester’s industrial heritage and discover why the boot and shoe industry is still thriving in Leicester today.
