Just A Step Away
Just a Step Away is a collaboration between Leicester
University and Curve associate artists, METRO-BOULOT-DODO.
Just a Step Away uses projected image and audio to tell stories
around the rise, fall and reinvention of the boot and shoe
industry in Leicester.
Through the exploration of archives held at Leicester University,
MACE and Leicester’s Record Office, METRO-BOULOT-DODO
have created 6 short films. These films will projected onto the
windows of Leicester’s Royal Arcade, just above Tin Fish Shoes,
on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December from 4pm – 8pm.
Come along to catch a glimpse of Leicester’s industrial heritage
and discover why the boot and shoe industry is still thriving in
Leicester today.
The films created will be hosted on the Story of Leicester
