Dynamic Desander
Reliable,
continuous
operation
What is DDS?
Sand production is an increasing problem as fields
age, reducing productivity and increasing wear on
both plant and equipment.

Therefore it’s crucial to find reliable,
cost-effective solutions for removing
sand from the liquid stream before
processing - emptying a rig’s test
separator could take a couple of days,
at enormous cost.
The Dynamic Desander (DDS) from
AGR is the answer - a highly efficient
tool for reducing solids carryover to
downstream equipment which can
keep working when our competitors’
equipment cannot. Plus, its small
footprint means installation is easy.
Keeps on running - no flaring
required
The DDS can operate continuously
so flaring is not necessary, a factor
that could mean the securing of
carbon credits. There is no need to
stop operations when the unit’s main
collection tank is full - the DDS can be
emptied without affecting any work
in progress, which only takes about
a minute to do. Meanwhile, solids are
still deposited in the lower part of the
collection tank.
Accuracy, efficiency, reliability
- no pressure drop needed
The unique design of the DDS enables
it to constantly monitor accumulated
solids and operate at optimum
efficiency, regardless of the level of
pressure, flow, oil, gas and particles.
Unlike some systems, it needs no
pressure drop to work.
The DDS can be used in:
• Well-process applications
• Well-intervention
applications
• Drilling applications
• Subsea applications
• Well testing
• Pigging operations
• Waste treatment

The DDS edge taking guess work
out of the job
Patented sand-separator technology.
The technology used on the DDS has a number of
advantages over other systems on the market.
A unique feature of the DDS is its ability
to measure solids in real-time. This
powerful tool enables you to fine tune
your operation and optimise production.
While other systems need a constant
flow to ensure effective separation, the
Dynamic Desander from AGR operates
regardless of any fluctuations in flow,
thanks to its patented hydraulic impeller.
Pressure might be low - DDS
performance won’t be
Our patented sand-separator
technology works regardless of the
pressure in the liquid flow - it even has
a good effect when faced with the low
pressures found in older wells.

Tough, efficient design that sets
the standard
Innovation at its heart.
The Dynamic Desander (DDS) has a two-stage separation
design that is not only highly efficient but tough too. Its lowerosion qualities mean longer component life - worrying
about replacement parts even when dealing with the toughest
jobs won’t be a concern. Unlike conventional products, the
cyclones on the DDS require no drop in pressure to operate
and are totally flow independent.
Reduce risk, stay on schedule
When you use a Dynamic Desander, you’re safeguarding your
operation - it’s essentially a means of guaranteeing that the
production process runs as smoothly as possible. Why gamble
with the success of your project because of the shortcomings
inherent in other desander systems?
With the Dynamic Desander’s ability to work continuously,
with real-time solids measurement, you won’t have to stop
everything to clean out an overloaded separator tank. The
Dynamic Desander is your insurance policy against losing
valuable production time to avoidable hazards - keeping you
on schedule and saving money.
Built to perform under pressure
Even though your demands on the Dynamic Desander might be
tough, you can still trust it to deliver the goods.
DDS from AGR: enabling you to remove sand from the liquid
steam WITHOUT bringing operations to a halt.
