Celebrate classic Kiwiana cuisine featuring Aotearoa’s most loved traditional
ingredients with mouthwatering modern twists. Featuring five courses
set alongside local artist Katherine Morrison’s exhibition Camp together
with renowned singer Jade Eru. Leave your gumboots at home, put on your
glad rags and visit Upper Hutt for a ‘flash as’ degustation of Kiwi cuisine.
Enter into a speed build competition to complete a series of build
challenges within a time limit. Great LEGO® prizes to be won.
Weekly art sessions for little people aged 3-4 years old. 45 minutes of
discovery and fun, with something new every week! Places are limited so
bookings are essential and parent/caregiver supervision is required.

Iconic movie scenes made out of LEGO® by UK artist Warren Elsmore.
Featuring large scale photographs, models and a giant brick pit for you to
build your own creations, this is an exhibition for LEGO® lovers young and old.
The bi-annual review of recent works by artists from the Wellington
region. This exhibition showcases a range of media and artists.
Guji Guji is content with his life as a duckling, despite the fact that he doesn’t
look anything like his brothers. Guji Guji is a beautiful story about and
through difference using shadow puppets by Shanghai puppet artist Nancy Xu.

exclusively to Expressions Whirinaki, Upper Hutt, comes Catwalk to Cover.
For King & Country: New Zealand's First World War on Film is a
70-minute film programme including exerts from 38 films covering New
Zealand’s experience of the war.

Through a series of candid photographs from top catwalk photographers
—Kirstin Sinclair, Chris Moore, Matt Lever and Philip Meech—and clothes
by leading national and international designers, Catwalk to Cover provides
a behind-the-scenes insight into the creative world of the fashion show.
Covering the backstage to front row, catwalk and street style, and
including designers such as Prada, Vivienne Westwood, Karl Lagerfeld,
and Alexander McQueen this exhibition puts the spotlight on the catwalk.
This exhibition is coming to New Zealand from The Fashion and Textile
Museum, London; a cutting edge centre for contemporary fashion.

Textile artist Katherine Morrison has hand-crafted a large scale
installation reflecting her ultimate camping companions. Wander into
her series of tents made from upcycled NZ wool blankets.
Fresh new fibre craft from the Creative Fibre Art Wellington including
felted, knitted, knotted and woven work.

Everest Untold features the 1953 Everest expedition leader, Sir John
Hunt and the expedition’s ‘other Kiwi’ George Lowe, in the untold story
about what happened in the Himalayas sixty years ago. Rich with humour,
pathos, and adventure, this is a story of friendship, and sacrifice.
Born in Baku, the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, Oleg Marshev
trained at Moscow Conservatory. A wonderful programme of passionate
pieces performed by a virtuoso.
Presented by Expressions Whirinaki Arts and Entertainment Centre in association with Arts
on Tour. Arts on Tour shows are subsidised by Creative New Zealand.
