By Bob Kuykendall It is time to recall Todt Clark’s famous quotation - “August is a time to enjoy the waning Summer in anticipation of the coming Fall”. So it is also true of Central Cal this August when we gather on August 14th around the barbeque at the Kaski Ranch in Concord, CA. CCBR V.P. Todt Clark and his wife Connie will be firing up the barbie for some fine food. So be there at 11:30 am if you are hungry. Todt and Connie's House At the August Meeting we will you give you a preview of the September Beemer BASH in Quincy. I believe that Todt, Jon or Phil will be able to preview the GS Ride. As for the BASH, it is coming together. Have you registered for the BASH yet? Here is a brief summary of what’s going on at this year’s BASH: The 31st Annual Autumn Beemer BASH September 16 - 18, 2016 Confirmed Speakers Richard Battles - the owner of RKA Luggage, will put on two seminars: • The R.I.D.E. All you need to know about communications. (what is the R.I.D.E.? Research, Integration, Decision Making, Expansion) • •So I gotta video camera…now wattaidowithit?? page number 2 Phil Douglas - Knows all we need to know about motorcycle suspensions: · Bike Setup: numbers vs black magic · Stock vs Aftermarket: Why is Aftermarket better? Jeff Kurtz - retired into a life of full-time M/C touring, only to find that the missing relationship was 53,000 miles ahead. A retired engineer (gadget-guy) turned photojournalist, he blogs and enjoys BMW dual-sporting where ever the gravel leads him.
