Sheriff’s patrol officers and detectives initiated a pro-active investigation, utilizing a variety of methods, to try and halt the incessant rash of quick, forced entry break-ins to businesses that were conducted during hours of darkness. “The nexus to this rampage of burglaries can be linked directly to the insidious addiction to narcotics and illegal substances,” said Sheriff Gary Simpson. “The individuals responsible commit crime to feed their dependence, or to enhance their significance in the criminal environment in order to foster the use of drugs on others. Their selfish conduct affects the entire community. Sadly, it’s evident that their actions and the subsequent consequences are nothing to them but a revolving door. Some are just career criminals.” 2 Several of the commercial stores, shops and government buildings victimized by this band of thieves included: • • • • • • • A & A Jewelry Azteca Mexican Restaurant Cash Brewing Company Desert Sun Tanning Salon Fast Signs Fiesta Mexican Restaurant Green Garden Pho Restaurant Joy Teriyaki Maxx Nutrition Seoul Korean BBQ Restaurant Silver City Barber Shop Silverdale Community Center Silverdale Cyclery Teriyaki Delight Restaurant Ultra Custom Cleaners The investigative teams were pulled together quickly and dispatched with alacrity.
