The annual meeting of the Palace Cultural Arts Association members will be held on Monday, January 26,
2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the concession room of the Palace Theatre, on the first floor of the Palace Theatre building
located at 276 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio, for the purpose of electing six (6) directors, each to serve a three
(3) year term commencing February 1, 2009, and the transaction of any and all other business properly brought

traditional dance, and numerous theatrical techniques both ancient and contemporary is a

JAMIE O’NEAL exploded onto the music scene in 2000
with the release of her first album, the gold-certified SHIVER.
The album won over critics and fans alike and earned her
three Grammy nods in 2002. The first single, "There Is No
Arizona" went to #1 on the charts and she followed up with
another #1 hit with the self-penned‚ "When I Think About
Angels." That same year, the Academy of Country Music
named her the Top New Female Vocalist; and Radio &
Records awarded her with the #1 Most Valuable Female
Country Artist and #1 Most Valuable New Country Artist
honors. She also took home Billboard's premiere prize for
Top New Country Artist. Her abounding talent, bright spirit,
bubbly personality and infectious zest for life quickly
established her as a standout in Nashville’s creative
community. She became known as one of the industry’s most
prolific songwriters and a premiere powerhouse vocalist. That
voice was just one of the many attributes that landed touring
gigs with the likes of country music superstars Reba McEntire,
Martina McBride, Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson and Toby
Keith. As a songwriter, O’Neal writes with heart and
intelligence and delivers songs with a style all her own in
what music critic, Alana Nash, described as “a Ferrari of a
voice.” O'Neal's newest single "Like A Woman" was released
in 2008, with a new album to follow in 2009. She is an
amazing vocalist who writes great songs that touch the hearts
of country music fans. Jamie has had an incredible career
and has made a huge impact on country music, but her best
is yet to come! Don’t miss this amazing artist when she
appears on stage at the Palace.
The EDGE Board Invites You to join them for the inaugural FIRST FRIDAY
event in the newly completed May Pavilion at the Palace Theatre. The evening
begins at 5pm on Friday, February 6. The cost is $10 and includes sampling
wines, hors d’ouevres, a chocolate fountain and a great place to mingle and
relax with friends. Hone your taste in wines as you enjoy this opportunity to

FINAL ROUND OF COMPETITION
Now in its fourth year, Lights, Camera, Amateurs is ready
to reveal the 2009 finalists. Dozens of talented individuals
and groups have performed their acts before appreciative
audiences. They have stood before the judges and now, after
four preliminary rounds of competition, four finalists from
each age group will perform in this exciting evening of talent finals, and one talented
individual or group from each age category will receive a top prize of $500 -- for a
total of $2000 in prize money. Don’t miss the excitement as family and friends
cheer for the top performers in this final round of competition on Saturday, February
7 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Tickets are
available in advance at the box office, 270 W. Center Street or at the door one hour

This live stage production for children and their favorite adults retells
the adventurous story of Pinocchio, a talking wooden puppet, who
dreamed of becoming a real boy. His dream comes true when he
magically becomes a real live boy! Like any real boy, Pinocchio has
lessons to learn in life. Pinocchio doesn’t want to admit when he’s
wrong, but when he lies his nose grows! After several adventures, all
ends happily in this heart warming story. Performed by the CCT
Professional Touring Company, this production features plenty of
audience participation. Tickets are $8 each and are available in advance
at the box office (M-F, 9am-5pm and Sat., 9am-noon) or at the door
one hour before the production.
