Corporate Communications Vol.XXV No.06 July 11, 2016 HMT MTA SUPPLIES AIR BLEEDER TO BARC Handing over of Air Bleeder by GMA to GM, BARC Planting of Sapling by GM, BARC HMT Ajmer has developed, manufactured and supplied the Air Bleeder to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). The manufacturing process of Air Bleeder involves very high sophisticated technology and is critical one since it is an important and critical part for Nuclear Power Plant. MTA has succeeded in developing and manufacturing the same with team efforts of its engineers and employees. Shri Naveen Gokhroo GM, MTA presented the Air Bleeder to GM, BARC, Shri Kailash Agarwal, GM and Shri T. Laxman Rao, Scientific tific Officer “F” of BARC, Mumbai in a formal function at Ajmer (MTA) on 10.06.2016. To mark the occasion, a sapling was planted by Shri Agarwal,, GM, BARC in the Skill Development Centre. All HoDs, senior executives, representatives of Officers, Unions & Officers’ Association were present at the function. GM, MTA in his address expressed that HMT, Ajmer and BARC have long professional relationship. GM, BARC Shri Kailash Agarwal while addressing the gathering,, appreciated the efforts of HMT Ajmer team in completing the previous order of Flange Connectors worth Rs.5.00 Crore e and also the present order for Air Bleeder. He mentioned that he was impressed with high quality and skill of HMT Ajmer and described it as a “WORLD CLASS QUALITY”. BARC is keen to give e future orders to HMT Ajmer. During their visit, discussions were held regarding concept and design of Linear Auto Sampling (LAS) for which order is expected from BARC. SEMINAR ON “POSITIVE THINKING A PATH OF PEACE & SUCCESS IN LIFE” AT MTA A Seminar on “Positive Thinking a path of Peace & Success in Life” was organised at HMT Machine Tool Complex, Ajmer (MTA) th on 13 May 2016. GM(MTA) Shri Naveen Gokhroo, welcomed Brahma Kumari Ankita Ben, the key speaker of the programme. In his inaugural address, GM(MTA) mentioned the merits & benefits of positive thinking think such as soft natured, tender hearted having sympathy with co-workers co to utilise their skills, strength & competency to maximum level. Brahma Kumari Ankita Ben enlightened the employees on plunging Heart and Soul in every activity with positive thinking to derive Shri Naveen Gokhroo, GM(MTA) & Brahma Kumari Ankita Ben & others at Seminar optimum results. She gave glaring examples unveiling good results of positive thinking / attitude and the merits of silence, tolerance and kindness. Corporate Communications Vol.XXV No.05 June 30, 2016 JT.SECRETARY, DHI INAUGURATES ‘FLEXIBLE FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM SYSTEM’ AT HMT MBX HMT Machine Tools, Bangalore Complex launched the new Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) for educational and training purposes, on 23rd June 2016. The FMS was inaugurated by Shri Vishvajit Sahay, Jt.Secretary, DHI, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, GOI, New Delhi. Shri S.Girish Kumar, CMD, Shri B.M.Shivashankar, hankar, MDM, Shri R.N.Lakshminarasimha, GM(HR), Shri Ashis Mazumder, GM(MBX), Shri K.K.Balachandran, COE and other Senior Executives were present on the occasion. Representatives from HMT Mazdoor Sangha, HMT MBX Employees’ Unity Forum and HMT Officers’ Association were also present. Shri Vishvajit Sahay, JS,, DHI inspecting the FMS. Shri S.Girish Kumar, CMD, Shri B.M.Shivashankar, MDM are also seen with other officials The first FMS has been built against a purchase order from National Institute for Technical Teachers Training, Chandigarh. The FMS comprises of Sub-systems systems like CNC Lathe, CNC Machining Centre, Automated Inspection Cell and Automated Storage & Retrieval System. These four sub-systems systems are tended by an industrial robot and conveyor system. The cell thus forms a totally automated turnkey solution. The system is modular and can be easily tailor made to suit individual customer requirements. HMT will principally offer its machin machines with the latest HMT-NUM CNC system control but will also provide other makes of controls as per FMS launched at HMT MBX specific customer requirement. The technical specifications laid out by the Government for educational institutions and skill development centres suits the HMT-NUM HMT CNC. Such a functionally and yet compact cell fills a niche market requirement in the educational sector as such a system has not been available to the educational sector until now. With the Government’s focus on skill-development development and training of urban youth in modern manufacturing, as FMS such as this will be a valuable asset in the infrastructure of engineering a and nd diploma colleges, ITI and vocational training institutions. This year’s slogan is “Go Wild for Life” to raise the voice against wildlife crime and damages caused by it and take actions to prevent itit. At HMT Bhavan: The he World Environment Day was observed on 6th June 2016 by HMT Offices in HMT Bhavan.
