IREN HMS with electric motor IRSE-FU IRSEN High frequency internal vibrators High frequency internal vibrators provide excellent compaction performance for every type of concrete currently in use through stable-speed, high-power three-phase motors. Wacker Neuson provides two configurations suitable for any application. IREN The IREN series is the basic version of Wacker Neuson's high frequency internal vibrators – for reliable concrete compaction. IRSEN The IRSEN series has a low-vib handle for long stretches of use e.g. in precast construction or for concrete floors and ceilings. All Wacker Neuson high frequency internal vibrators are available for attachment to frequency inverters or with an integrated frequency inverter. We also offer optional rubber caps to protect the formwork for all machines in the IREN and IRSEN series. 8_9 WACKER NEUSON INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE PROCESSING PIR HMS: Internal vibrators with flexible shaft A system that is convincing because it is flexible and economical: various flexible shafts, vibrator heads, and motors or engines can be combined in various ways. Wacker Neuson's catalogue has two drive types: with electric motor or combustion engine. Detailed information on the electric motors is available on the next page. Contact your Wacker Neuson distributor if you are interested in the type equipped with a combustion engine. PIR: Pneumatic internal vibrator The PIR series is ideal for use on compressors. Internal vibrators The decisive factor in high quality concrete products and profitability: Choosing the right head diameter. Head diameter IREN IRSEN IRFU IRSE-FU Head diameter PIR Length Length Head diameter HMS Length Internal vibrators should always have the largest possible diameter. This keeps concrete compaction times as short as possible. However, reinforcement distances, vibration chutes and component dimensions are limiting factors for head diameters. It must be possible to guide internal vibrations through the reinforcement without them getting caught. 10 _ 11 _ 12 WACKER NEUSON INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE PROCESSING TECHNICAL DATA IREN 30 IREN 38 IREN 45 IREN 57* IREN 65 TECHNICAL DATA M 1000 M 2000 M 3000 Head diameter mm 30 38 45 58 65 Drive Head length (L) mm 353 345 382 400 490 Universal motor, double-insulated Universal motor, double-insulated Universal motor, double-insulated Protective hose m 5 5 5 5 5 Voltage V Operating weight kg 8.9 10.5 11.8 16.2 22.5 Current A 230 ˜ 4.5 230 ˜ 6.5 230 ˜ 10.0 Effective diameter** cm 40 50 60 85 100 Frequency Hz 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 Idling speed, motor without load rpm 15,500 17,500 16,500 Cable length m 4.7 4.7 4.7 Power kW (HP) 1.0 (1.3) 1.5 (2.0) 2.3 (3.1) L x W x H mm 350 x 160 x 200 350 x 160 x 200 350 x 160 x 200 Weight kg 5.7 6.4 8.4 FLEXIBLE SHAFT SM1-E SM2-E SM4-E SM0-S SM1-S SM2-S Length m 1 2 4 0.5 1 2 Weight kg 1.5 2.5 4.3 1.3 2.7 4.3 Head weight kg 1.4 2.2 3.5 5.8 9.2 Vibrations 1/min 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 Drive High-frequency squirrel-cage motor for connection to Wacker Neuson frequency and voltage inverters Voltage V 42 / 250 42 / 250 42 / 250 42 / 250 42 / 250 Current A 3.5 / 0.6 7.0 / 1.4 10.0 / 1.85 17.3 / 3.0 25.0 / 4.2 Frequency Hz 200 200 200 200 200 Power cable m 15 15 15 15 15 TECHNICAL DATA IRSEN 30 IRSEN 38 IRSEN 45 IRSEN 57* Head diameter mm 30 38 45 58 Head length (L) mm 353 345 382 400 Protective hose m 0.8 0.8 0.8 0.8 Operating weight kg 5.1 5.9 7.2 11.2 Effective diameter** cm 40 50 60 85 Head weight kg 1.4 2.2 3.5 5.8 Vibrations 1/min 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 Drive High-frequency squirrel-cage motor for connection to Wacker Neuson frequency and voltage inverters Voltage V 42 / 250 42 / 250 42 / 250 42 / 250 Current A 3.5 / 0.6 7.0 / 1.4 10.0 / 1.85 17.3 / 3.0 Frequency Hz 200 200 200 200 Power cable m 15 15 15 15 TECHNICAL DATA IRFU 30 IRFU 38 IRFU 45 IRFU 57 IRFU 65 Head diameter mm 30 38 45 58 65 Head length (L) mm 353 345 382 400 490 Protective hose m 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 Operating weight kg 11.5 13.6 14.6 19.8 25.5 Effective diameter** cm 40 50 60 85 100 Head weight kg 1.4 2.2 3.5 5.8 9.2 Vibrations 1/min 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 Drive High-frequency squirrel-cage motor with built-in frequency inverter in the switch housing for direct connection to 220-240 V 50 / 60 Hz 1˜ Voltage V Current A 220 - 240 ˜ 2.2 220 - 240 ˜ 3.5 220 - 240 ˜ 4.8 220 - 240 ˜ 6.0 220 - 240 ˜ 10.0 Frequency Hz 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 Power cable m Power cable m 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 FLEXIBLE SHAFT SM3-S SM4-S SM5-S SM7-S SM9-S Length m 3 4 5 7 9 Weight kg 5.9 7.1 9.3 12.9 15.1 VIBRATOR HEAD H 25 H 25S H 25HA H 35 H 35S H 35HA Diameter mm 25 25 26 35 35 36 Length mm 440 295 380 410 310 405 Weight kg 1.3 0.8 1.3 2.1 1.6 2.3 VIBRATOR HEAD H 45 H 45S H 45HA H 50HA H 55 H 65 Diameter mm 45 45 45 50 57 65 Length mm 385 305 390 395 410 385 Weight kg 3.4 2.8 3.3 3.9 5.4 6.8 INTERNAL VIBRATOR, FLEXIBLE SHAFT AND ELECTRIC MOTOR SM 1-E SM 2-E SM 4-E SM 0-S SM 1-S SM 2-S SM 3-S SM 5-S SM 7-S SM 9-S H 35 H 35S H 35HA H 45 H 45S H 45HA H 50HA H 55 H 65 S =Short = Short standard standard vibrator vibrator head head HA= Hybrid vibrator vibrator head head with with high high amplitude amplitude HA=Hybrid = M 1000 1000 recommended = Not recommended TECHNICAL DATA IRSE-FU 30 IRSE-FU 38 IRSE-FU 45 IRSE-FU 57 Head diameter mm 30 38 45 58 Head length (L) mm 353 345 382 400 Protective hose m 0.8 0.8 0.8 0.8 TECHNICAL DATA PIR 35 PIR 55 PIR 75 Operating weight kg 11.2 12 13 16 Head diameter mm 35 55 75 Effective diameter** cm 40 50 60 85 Head length (L) mm 245 260 302 Head weight*** kg 1.4 2.2 3.5 5.8 Protective hose m 2 2 2 Vibrations 1/min 12,000 12,000 12,000 12,000 Operating weight kg 3.6 6.3 11.0 Drive High-frequency squirrel-cage motor with built-in frequency inverter in the switch housing for direct connection to 220-240 V 50 / 60 Hz 1˜ Effective diameter** cm 40 65 90 Vibrations 1/min 19,700 18,200 16,500 Voltage V 220 - 240~ 220 - 240~ 220 - 240~ 220 - 240~ Drive Compressed air Compressed air Compressed air Current A 2.2 3.5 4.8 6.0 Operating pressure bar 6 6 6 Frequency Hz 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 50 - 60 Air consumption m3/min 0.85 1.4 1.7 Power cable m Power cable m 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 15 +0.5 * Also available in short head design. ** This is a non-binding statement based on the practical experiences of our customers under certain operating conditions. Vibration technology for industrial applications. Achieving optimal economic and technical results depends on using the right external vibrator equipment when filling, compacting, transporting and sieving bulk goods. The experts from Wacker Neuson concrete solutions specialize in finding the right solution for the widest variety of situations and draw on many years of solid know-how to assist you in the industrial application of vibration technology. We will provide you with advice and support when it comes to: • choosing external vibrators. • attaching external vibrators. • instituting noise reduction measures. • designing complete electric assemblies. • providing all components. • mounting and electrical installation. • commissioning. LOOSENING TIPS 48 _ 49 WACKER NEUSON INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE PROCESSING Loosening tips Use at the silo. Use in filling and compaction. External vibrators provide excellent support for the flow behavior of powder and other bulk goods during silo storage. They ensure an undisturbed flow of materials and make continuous emptying of the silo effortless. Wacker Neuson's wide range of series 3/5/7 external vibrators allows us to provide the right equipment for even the most demanding situation. Filling and compacting bulk goods require exact planning and procedures when attaching external vibrators in order to achieve optimal results for specific situations. The know-how and wide product range of Wacker Neuson concrete solutions will support you through every process phase. TIP 1 Normal frequency vibrators with 1500 - 3000 rpm are usually used. While introducing vibrations into moved goods is recommended to prevent caking, introducing vibrations into stationary goods leads to compaction. This effect can arise as early as the start-up phase. TIP 2 TIP 2 It is important to distribute the force equally when attaching the external vibrators. Particularly good compaction performance can be achieved for fine grained bulk goods when using high external vibrator speeds. TIP 1 TIP 3 The external vibrators are only activated once the silo is opened in order to avoid the bulk goods being compacted. Use in conveyor channels. Use in sieving. When transporting bulk goods through conveyor channels – e.g. in quarries - it is important that vibration is not transferred in an undulatory movement, but rather a linear movement, in order to avoid interruptions in the flow such as bridge formation, shaft formation, caking, etc. Slow-moving external vibrators at 1,500 rpm – e.g. from the 7 series – are therefore ideally suited for this kind of use. Sieving technology primarily uses slow vibrators, dependant upon the sieve size. External vibrators of the 5/7 series from Wacker Neuson are optimally suited for such sieving applications.
