I am writing to provide you with updated information regarding VetCor and the opportunities we have
to offer veterinary students like you.
VetCor is a national family of 58 exceptional veterinary hospitals. No two VetCor hospitals are the

Maryland
Country Veterinary Hospital - Mt. Airy (Contact Jane Skroupa: jskroupa@vetcor.com)
This is a well-established full-service general practice with three very experienced doctors. The doctor team’s
approach seamlessly combines outpatient exams with diagnostic work-ups, general surgery, routine dentistry,
and in-house diagnostic lab and ultrasound. This team welcomes the opportunity to help veterinary students
build their clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and client interaction skills.
Massachusetts
Fresh Pond Animal Hospital – Belmont (Contact Dr. Sarah Cazabon: scazabon@vetcor.com)
Fresh Pond Animal Hospital is a busy six doctor practice which sees a high volume of appointments. This is
great opportunity to be involved in a wide breath of cases such as dermatology, endocrinology, and infectious
diseases. Aside from practicing general medicine the doctor team also focuses on dentistry (with dedicated
dental suite), ultrasound and general digital radiography.
New England Veterinary Clinic – Salem (Contact Dr. Julie Bergeron: jbergeron@vetcor.com)
This busy five doctor practice is open seven days a week and provides general services to their large client
base as well as shelter pets. They offer both routine and non-routine surgeries such as cruciates and optional
laser surgery. The doctors have a team oriented approach to medicine and are extremely “hands-on” which
results in a high level of patient care, client satisfaction, and appointment workflow.
Michigan
Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic – Kalamazoo (Contact Dr. Chris Rohwer: crohwer@vetcor.com)
Sprinkle Road Veterinary Clinic’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Chris Rohwer, and his associates are friendly, experienced
mentors who frequently work with students from MSU. The hospital is extremely active providing routine
services to its large client based and additionally offers abdominal ultrasound, cruciate/ACL surgery and
endoscopy. The varied caseload includes exotics and pocket pets.
New Hampshire
Salem Animal Hospital – Salem (Contact Dr. Kim Caruso: kcaruso@vetcor.com)
Salem Animal Hospital is a five doctor general practice with excellent support staff. Equipment includes
ultrasound and digital dental radiology. They also have regular visits by board certified cardiologists and
surgeon providing the possibility of an additional learning experience. A busy appointment schedule offers
plenty of opportunity to shadow, do exams and learn about client communication and interaction.
New York
New Baltimore Animal Hospital - W. Coxsackie (Contact Dr. Barbara Bucki-Ohm: bbuckiohm@vetcor.com)
This well-established five doctor, general practice does “a little bit of everything”. Dr. Bucki-Ohm does a fair
amount of orthopedics, Dr. Perkins performs quite a few ultrasounds, and our associates have a wide range
of interests including theriogenology and internal medicine. We have an excellent support staff, a loyal client
base and a busy appointment schedule providing an extern with good hands on experience.
New Paltz Animal Hospital - New Paltz (Contact Dr. Alison Soscia: asoscia@vetcor.com)
New Paltz Animal Hospital is a progressive practice which offers a high appointment and surgery caseload
including a lot of spays and neuters for the local rescue organizations. They see a variety of interesting cases
including exotics and also offer both traditional as well as holistic options, including acupuncture, to their
clients. This is a great opportunity to expand your clinical experience and receive great mentorship.
North Carolina
Harris Boulevard Veterinary Clinic – Charlotte (Contact Dr. Scott Loveless: sloveless@vetcor.com)
This busy three doctor practice has built a reputation for outstanding medicine and compassionate care.
Harris Boulevard Veterinary Clinic offers a fun team atmosphere, great mentorship, excellent support staff
and high quality medicine. Services include laser and orthopedic surgeries. This is a busy practice that sees a
variety of interesting cases providing an instructive experience for any student.
Pennsylvania
North East Animal Hospital - North East*(Contact Dr. Jerry Ramsdell: jramsdell@vetcor.com)
North East Animal Hospital is a busy two doctor practice dedicated to progressive medicine with a Chief of
Staff, Dr. Jerry Ramsdell, who is board certified in Canine and Feline Medicine through the American Board of
Veterinary Practitioners. Equipment includes ultrasound, dental radiology, and a surgical laser. In addition to
routine services the hospital also performs advanced dentistry and orthopedic surgery.
Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital – Quakertown (Contact Dr. Brian G’Sullivan: bgsullivan@vetcor.com)
Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital is a four doctor, small animal general practice. The hospital offers conventional
and laser surgery, in-house diagnostics, radiology, dentistry and selective orthopedic surgery. Additionally,
they have an onsite rehab and conditioning center allowing for hydro therapy, acupuncture, land treadmill,
massage, laser therapy, and heat/cold modalities.

Twinbrook Veterinary Hospital’s three doctors’ experience ranges from 30+, 19 and 2 years giving them
the ability to relate to the challenges of medicine, surgery and stressors of being a new grad. The hospital
features progressive preventative medicine, in house lab, high quality dental program, surgical laser, and a
well coached support staff to help students get the real world experiences they will use daily.
Rhode Island
Warwick Animal Hospital –Warwick (Contact Dr. Kevin Weed: kweed@vetcor.com)
Warwick Animal Hospital is a busy five doctor, seven days a week, extended hour general and emergency
hospital. The hospital has a tradition of mentorship and superior medical care and is dedicated to professional
collaboration. Equipment includes full in-house lab, digital x-ray, endoscope, laser and ultrasound. This busy
hospital will provide many learning opportunities.
West Shore Animal Clinic –Warwick (Contact Dr. Dan Hebert: dhebert@vetcor.com)
West Shore Animal Clinic’s three doctors and support team are dedicated to high quality progressive medicine,
client education and customer service. They eagerly welcome the opportunity to mentor veterinary students.
Equipment includes ultrasound, laser, digital x-ray, and in-house lab. In addition to routine services they also
offer advanced in-house surgery, cryosurgery and acupuncture.
Wisconsin
Animal Hospital of Verona – Verona (Contact Dr. Barney Smith: bsmith@vetcor.com)
Animal Hospital of Verona is a general and dental specialty practice which hosts the dental residency program
for the U of WI. They are experienced with students and can offer a lot of one-on-one mentoring with the
doctors. The Chief of Staff, Dr. Barney Smith, is a Diplomate of the American Board Veterinary Practitioners.
Additional services include exotics - especially birds and rabbits - and ultrasound.
*Externship students have the option of splitting their time between our locations in North East and Erie.
