The Colonial section has some very fine restaurants and
while some are expensive one may still have a full taste
of tradition without breaking the bank.
A favorite of ours, the Peking Mongolian Wok is always
busy but the patient staff seems to manage to stay
ahead of the whirlwind. With dozens of buffet items
— Chinese, Japanese, Thai — here is a groaning board
indeed.
In a town loaded with fabulous eats there’s this
unbeatable fact: One
of the best moments
of any CLUB WYNDHAM vacation is
consuming a buttery breakfast muffin and
coffee in my pajamas and robe in our own
lovely condo while enjoying the panoramic

My husband and I have attended exactly one, yes one,
New Year’s Eve party in our almost 30 years together.
When we got information regarding
a party at Wyndham Branson at The
Meadows, I was surprised and excited
when my husband said, “Let’s go.”
The Activities staff members were all there looking
stunning, like they were ready to walk the red carpet
and acting like there was nowhere in the world they
would rather be on New Year’s Eve. We were greeted
like royalty and escorted to our table. The hors
d’oeuvres were plentiful and tasty as beer and wine
flowed freely. The local band was versatile and seemed
to please the dancing partiers. Throughout
the
night, the staff was friendly, cheerful and
eager to please and they had carefully
constructed a special Hollywood set which
was used as a backdrop for guests to take
photographs.
My husband is a go-to-bed-at-9 kind of guy, yet, it was
midnight before we knew it. He had a great time! Very
with a smile talking about the memorable
evening. In fact, I felt honored when another owner
asked if we were coming back next year. He said they
come every year … we just might go back next year,
too!
