Designers` Guide to High Point
High Point
Market
FALL 2O14
OCTOBER 18-23
High Point Market is a trade show that lives up to every exaggeration. All the witty one-liners about sensible shoes,
product-overload and parties at every street corner are actually true. The industry’s bi-annual fair boasts 2,000
exhibitors in 180 buildings that cover 12 million square feet of showroom space—literally, something for everyone.
Whether it’s a maiden voyage or a veteran lap, every High Point attendee needs a good strategy.
As editors and Market devotees, we thought about how to streamline the experience for the 10,000-plus interior
designers who attend each edition, and so we’ve devised the first-ever, ultra-detailed and totally essential
Designers’ Guide to High Point. Consider it an insider survival kit (organized with Virgo-like pragmatism) that
provides a comprehensive look at what design events to RSVP for, how to navigate the scene and where the experts
go for the best Market scores (and breathers). You’ll tour amazing places; you’ll learn business strategies; you’ll gain
no less than 40 new Instagram followers, and eventually you’ll need a cocktail. So grab your highlighter and an extra
phone charger, and let the shopping begin!
