HOW TO ARRIVE IN STUTTGART?
The easiest way to travel to Stuttgart is by air plane, train and the various coach operators.
oo Airport: Stuttgart Airport can be reached
easily and quickly. You can continue your
journey from the airport to Stuttgart
Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof)
with the S-Bahn S2 or S3.
The journey between Stuttgart Central
Railway Station and Stuttgart Airport
takes about 30 minutes. The S-Bahn

Station from 4.55 a.m. (or 5.25 a.m. on
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays)
until 0.25 a.m. every 10 or 20 minutes,
and every 30 minutes on weekends. You
can see the rail network here:

AFTER ARRIVAL
Plan your arrival on the basis of when the German intensive course or your classes will start.
Moving into your student dormitory/private
room should be the first step after arriving in
Stuttgart. Please check where your dorm
room/private room is located (campus Vahingen/Stadtmitte). You can only move into you
room during the office hours of the caretaker
responsible for your dormitory (please check
before). The most important thing to bring
along is the signend tenancy agreement and
the receipt of the deposit payment, the caretaker (Hausmeister) will check both documents before you will receive your room keys.
If you do not have a room yet we strongly
recommend that you book a room in one of
the youth hostels in Stuttgart or the International Studen Hotel managed by the Studierendenwerk Stuttgart as soon as possible.
Afterwards we strongly recommend to go to
the office of the Studierendenwerk in order
to find out if they have rooms available.
