Chambertalk Chris Olsen highlights Grand Prairie AutumnFest X Chris Olsen, who is the “Garden Guru” on Today’s THV Channel 11, was the featured speaker at the Grand Prairie AutumnFest. The gardening seminar was held Saturday, Oct. 2 and was sponsored by the Beautification Committee of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. Grand Prairie AutumnFest included a pruning workshop, lunch, and a seminar by Chris Olsen. “With the start of autumn, this was a great way to get ideas for Fall and tips for decorating your home,” said Bethany Hodges of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. “Chris Olsen was a great speaker and he shared some great ideas with those attending the Grand Prairie AutumnFest.” Olsen is a nationally-known home and garden guru, designer, author, TV personality and public speaker. In his new book, “SEA5ONS,” Olsen shares his landscape and gardening knowledge, along with his unique flair for home decor and design. Olsen has been a featured speaker at numerous flower, home and garden style shows. FALL BAKING — Penni Madsen of Cookies by Penni, showed off some of her cookie ideas to those attending the Grand Prairie AutumnFest. PRUNING SEMINAR — John Slater of the Arkansas Forestry Commission talks about safety during a pruning workshop at the Grand Prairie AutumnFest. HALLOWEEN IDEAS — Chris Olsen, the Garden Guru on Today's THV Morning show, gave easy to make and inexpensive Halloween decoration ideas at the Grand Prairie AutumnFest. He also talked about easy ways to decorate your home for Fall. Motorcycle Cannonball Run stops in downtown Stuttgart HOST CITY — Stuttgart hosted riders from the Motorcycle Cannonball Run when they stopped for lunch downtown at the Stuttgart Stage. RARE VIEW — The public got an up close look at some rare and vintage motorcycles when the Cannonball Motorcycle Run stopped in Stuttgart in September. ON THE ROAD — Riders in the Motorcycle Cannonball Run traveled from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, to Santa Monica, California, a journey of 3,272 miles. LUNCH — Doris Minter of Entergy, and a member of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, helped serve lunch to the motorcycle riders. VINTAGE BIKES — Motorcycles in the Cannonball Motorcycle Run were all built prior to 1916. More than 40 riders participated in the coast-to-coast event. OUT OF TOWN VISITORS — Spectators from as far away as Jonesboro traveled to see vintage motorcycles when the Cannonball Motorcycle Run stopped in Stuttgart for lunch on September 16.
