Welcome to Advent, the start of the church new liturgical year!
I highly encourage all of you to read the Gospel for each day
during Advent as a family in preparation for the annual feast of
Christ's birth at Christmas.
The readings for the first Sunday continue the ideas expressed
in the readings from the last two Sunday's: we must be watchful
and ready. Listen to the words today from the advent prophet
Isaiah: Would that you might meet us doing right, that we were
mindful of you in our ways!"
This first week, listen for what God is asking of you today as
we begin this new season of watching and waiting for Our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.

Join us for the First Friday of December on the 5th for our
monthly holy “power hour” that Bishop Ricken has directed all
parishes to participate in every month.
The holy hour starts with Mass at 8am with exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament to follow till 10:00 am. Come and bring a
friend!
The following opportunities begin 2015: January 2nd
and February 6th. What a wonderful way to begin the civil new
year.
ALL INVITED.....
The parish life/evangelization prayer group will meet every Thursday starting December 4th and will be sponsoring an
Advent Journey to Christmas. This is a journey that starts in our
hearts and ends at the humble manger. There is no cost for this
journey. Come for fellowship and refreshments each week.
This Advent, break out of your routine, hold back nothing, and
really prepare spiritually for Christmas.
Advent is the shortest but most beautiful season of the Church
year. Make the most of it!
Remember, we as Catholics believe that the Christmas season
ends on Epiphany. This means that we can keep our Christmas
(esp. outdoor) decorations up till January 6th,2015! This is a
great way to show our dedication to the reason of the season.
Peace,
Fr. Tony and Staff
Please remember to stay
warm and safe during
this upcoming freezin’
season!

nuestra Navidad (esp.) Al aire libre decoraciones arriba hasta 06 de
