See centerfold for photos 4 A Message From Father Daoud Lamie: Dear Beloved, Since 2001, great miracles have been happening in Egypt. Earlier on, many people believed that great and positive changes would take place; however as the days progressed and darkened, it seemed that all hopes were in vain. These dark days seemed like the ten plagues in Egypt, which occurred during the days of Moses and Pharaoh. As Egyptians hoped for a great miracle, the cries of the churches both in and out of Egypt could be heard around the world. It seemed that the sea had parted and the path to salvation was clear. Water stood on both sides and guarded the people of God with minor losses and great gains. For the first time in centuries, the world saw how the Copts fought their fight in the ideal Christian way, with love and prayers. Continued on back cover 4 Light for Orphans Annual Boat Cruise Great Gifts Come in Small Packages “Even a child is known by his deeds, Whether what he does is pure and right.” Proverbs 20:11 O n this year’s annual boat cruise, someone very small, yet very special, blessed Light for Orphans in an extraordinary way. Last month, this young boy came forth with a very large (and VERY heavy) coin bag. When asked how much he wanted to share with the orphans in Egypt, he exclaimed, “All of it!” To see the purity and simplicity of this child’s heart was beautiful. With full assurance that God would provide all of His needs, He gave everything freely. He was not weighed down by his personal needs or wants. He did not think to put some money aside for a rainy day.
