Man Alive!
Arbery Books is pleased to offer this wide-ranging collection depicting men, the male body
and male homosexual activity as seen by US and European eyes over the last fifty years – plus a
few titles that take a longer perspective.
The items offered here are in good, very good or as new condition. Books are hardcover unless
otherwise stated. We try to give a comprehensive description but pictures may not reflect exact
colour, book measurements and page numbers are approximate, and very minor defects may not
be recorded. Further photographs and details of all items can be provided on request. Items
priced £25 or more are listed with more details on arberybooks.co.uk/ books_art.php and
arberybooks.co.uk/photos.htm.
Some items include explicit portrayals of sexual arousal or activity. These are marked XXX after
the reference number. Customers who order these items are thereby confirming that they are
above the legal age of consent in their country to receive such material.
We also carry a range of magazines with men semi-nude, nude or sexually active. These are not
listed here, but can be found on our website by going to arberybooks.co.uk/journals.htm and
following the links. We have recently received many such magazines and we are currently putting
them online. We will issue a magazine-only catalogue before the end of 2015; this catalogue will
be sent out only on request; to receive a copy please email us requesting it and confirming that
you are over the age of consent to view sexually explicit material.
Prices include postage and packing in the UK. Contact us for the cost of posting / shipping to
other countries. Discounts are available for the purchase of three or more items. Order through
the email below; we regret we cannot take payments by phone.
Arbery Books (established 2009) specialises in publications and ephemera of gay, lesbian and

Bobby KENDALL / P INK NARCISSUS
Pink Narcissus is a 1971 American arthouse drama film visualising the erotic fantasies of a gay male prostitute.
Between visits from his keeper and clients, he fantasises about worlds where he is the central character - a
matador, a Roman slave and the emperor who condemns him and the keeper of a male harem. Kendall (the
prostitute) is believed to be a pseudonym.
