Arbery Books is pleased to offer this wide-ranging collection depicting men, the male body and male homosexual activity as seen by US and European eyes over the last fifty years – plus a few titles that take a longer perspective. The items offered here are in good, very good or as new condition. Books are hardcover unless otherwise stated. We try to give a comprehensive description but pictures may not reflect exact colour, book measurements and page numbers are approximate, and very minor defects may not be recorded. Some items include explicit portrayals of sexual arousal or activity. These are marked XXX after the reference number. Slight wear to edges, most noticeable at spine; pages tanning very slightly. Spine unbroken. Bauret was a well-known French photographer specialising in studio portraits, including female and male nudes; heavy shadows were a trademark of his style. This volume comprises men standing and seated, often in semi-darkness. Photographic essay combining Verlaine's poem Mille e tre with photos of nude men singly and in couples. Cadoo was a gay African-American photographer who moved to Paris in 1960. Then between 1954 and 1955, when his health was failing, Lynes entrusted Kinsey with the bulk of his negatives. Arbery Books October 2015 Sal MINEO (1939 – 1976) US actor, best known as John "Plato" Crawford opposite James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause. Mineo was bisexual and an icon for some gay men.
