New Group 2015:
Pictured to the right is “Iglesia
Pentecostal Ministerios León de
Judá” Church.
This church family had a retreat
here for the first time. Three
glorious days rejoicing in the
peaceful presence of God.
Evenings were spent in prayer and
song at fireside. The Holy Spirit
moved mightily - healing and
restoring many hearts. Also a
great victory for two who were
baptized in the frigid river! This
group is so excited talking about
doing it again this summer. !
We’ve lost a very
special person
Gloria Ramstead has gone to be
with her Lord. A fond supporter,
she passed away in Regina on Feb
3. I knew Gloria as my mother in
law, she was a very special person
filled with faith. Many of you knew
her as she spent at least 5 weeks a
year here at the retreat. You’ll
remember her by her hugs and
kisses. Gloria believed in what the
Lord was calling us to do and she
was one of our best promoters,
now she has been promoted.
A big thank you to all who have
given in her honour. These gifts
are being applied to the
cookhouse project.
Pray Every Day
Power To Pray - by Mark Steberl
In Ephesians we read a lot about ‘heavenly places’. It means ‘the sphere of
spiritual activities’. It’s the realm of angels and demons. It is where
prayers are heard and answered. It is where Jesus sits enthroned above all
the angelic and demonic powers, at the right hand of God praying for the
church. But, do you know that, as a believer, you are also in this realm?
It’s true, Ephesians 2:6 tells us God raised us up together, and made us sit
together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. What happens in the
heavenly places affects humanity either negatively or positively. A war is
being fought in this spiritual realm, a war for the souls of man. God has not
seated us as mere spectators in this realm, he needs our participation in his
plan to redeem the world. So he equips us to function in this sphere of
spiritual activity (Eph 6:11-17). The equipment God gives us is armour
essential in facing our spiritual enemy. Each piece of armour is significant
(2 Cor 10:4). But how do things get from the spiritual realm into the realm
of humanity? By prayer we can get God’s help from heaven to earth. In
Eph 6, Paul, a very educated and experienced speaker, asked the church to
pray that God would give him words to speak. Also, he, an already
courageous man, asked prayer for boldness to speak. Words and boldness
to speak, two of many things that we can pray for the church and its leaders
today.

installing the underground lines was
done this past fall. Lord willing we
hope to have it running this fall.
Make a special gift today if you can.
We’ll keep you updated.

been able to bless the camp
by towing water tanks up
the mountainside, hauling
rocks from the river to the
dining area, and digging
trenches for water pipes,
the weekends have also
been a huge blessing to our
teams. !
Each year I challenge the
guys to spend the entire
weekend thinking of others
rather than themselves. Trust me when I say that It is very counterculture for 15-17 year olds to stop asking, "What do I want?" and start
asking, "What can I do to help someone else?" However, the interesting
thing for me about these weekends is how much the guys love the
experience. Imagine, a weekend without their phones, sleeping on the
ground, digging ditches . . . and they love it! In fact, I remember a year
ago, at the end of our season, I
asked the guys to share the
highlight from their season. One
of our guys, the captain of our
team, said, "The Hope Weekend."
I quickly replied, "What? Are
you kidding me? We won
Provincials!" His reply was
simply, "Ya coach, I know . . . "!
We are never more Christ-like
than when we serve and I am very
thankful that Mountain Road has
given my volleyball players the
chance to experience this first
hand. May God bless you as you continue to be a blessing to others.!

teaching and preaching! We enjoy it here for several reasons: the breath-taking scenery, isolation from distractions,
many fond memories and an amazing
friendly staff. !
!
Over the years we have seen several young
people accept the Lord as their personal
Saviour, and surrender their lives to serve
Him (some even full-time), while
attending camp at Mountain Road. I
remember a couple years ago we had a
young man who had fallen into sin and
was causing much grief to his parents;
well, all throughout the week God was
working on his heart, and on the last day
of camp, around the campfire, his hard
heart finally broke and God came in to fix
it! He made things right with his family
the following week and today he is one of
the leaders of our children's ministry! !
!
When you get people away from the
common, everyday distractions of life, and take a few days to just sit and focus on the things of God and His
beautiful nature, it's almost impossible to not draw closer to our great God that
created us all! Thank you Mountain Road for being used of God to create an
environment that draws people closer to God! !

Teens RENEW their walk
with God at Camp
- by Pastor Chardon Canonayon
Mountain Road Ministry has been a
blessing to our church ministry for the
past several years.!
The first impression when you arrive at
the camp is that it is a place sanctified for
the work of the Lord. It is very secluded from worldly influences
allowing us to really pray and seek God. The staff at Mountain Road
are so friendly and helpful. They have laboured together to build the
facilities and we love seeing improvements every year. The staff visits
us throughout the week to see if they can be of any assistance and are SUPPORTER & VOLUNTEER NEWS: Join our facebook group “Mountain Road Retreat Partner Page”

always so helpful especially if we forgot a kitchen utensil =)!
This past camp, we had a week full of preaching, Bible
teaching, fun games and activities. The teenagers were
encouraged to Renew their walk with God and to stand up for
their faith. We saw many teenagers who gave up sins that easily
hindered their faith. We also had the privilege of seeing one of
our girls saved that week. She grew up in church but never
fully understood the gospel until that week. Throughout the
several years (at the retreat), we have seen many of our young
people come to accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour.!
Thank you Mountain Road Ministry for creating an
environment where we can “Be Still and Know God.” Thank
you for your investment and labor in love for the younger generation. !
