PICS:
I don’t have the space in this letter to expound on this passage in Isaiah, but suffice it to
say it as become very special to me during our furlough. This letter I want to update
you on what has been happening in our “land that is very far off”. During our time in
States of reporting and support raising, the ministry has been continuing in Zacatecas
and God has made the work fruitful.
Ministry in Zacatecas: Pastor Bryan has been faithfully serving on the mission field for
years and we got to partner with his ministry, learn, work and enjoy the blessings. The
main church in Guadalupe has been running strong with 60-65 people attending every
Sunday, with new souls being saved and baptized regularly. This is where we spent
most of our time and are happy to see it thriving. The teen ministry has been growing
with several that have a desire to serve God full time. We held service in a rented
house for years while the new church is built. This building is almost done and will allow us to grow and expand the ministries of the church. One of the biggest blessing of
the church in Guadalupe is that around 25 people are going out on visitation. These are
the ones helping us knock doors for the new church planting opportunities.
The first new church planted was in the town of San Geronimo. It is now pastored by a
national pastor and is consistently running 15-20 people. The church plant we got to
be the biggest part of was in the town of Tacoaleche. It is relatively new but has been
seeing about 15 people attend and several are getting grounded and becoming to base
of the church. Please pray for the continued growth of the churches as well as direction for the next town in which to begin a new ministry. Also pray that God would raise
up more nationals that have a desire to pastor and serve God full time. It is our desire
to train men and plant as many new churches as possible.
Current Projects: Some have asked if we have any special needs or projects we are
raising money for. If God puts our ministry on your hearts and you would like to help
with a special offering, here are some current needs we are saving for. If God impresses you to give, please put the name of the project in the memo line and our mission
agency will let us know.
Church in Tacoaleche
*Our Van: $2300 Paying it off. *New Church Building: $2000 To finish floors and details so we can use it for service. *Visa Fund: $1000 Applying for residency visas.
As always and most importantly, please keep us in your prayers! More importantly
than giving to the projects, pray for them. Without God’s blessing, his protection, and
his guidance, all of our endeavors will come to naught.
